Rude Rude Rude
by sjacksoncu
They have one beer that I think is very good and of course you can't beat the selection of Scotch. However, I would find it painful to know that I am supporting an owner that is quite frankly an Ass. I came to him with a fairly minor request/complaint to have him basically tell me that he didn't care. Well I don't care if you GO OUT OF BUSINESS and move your ass back to wherever you came from..England! I came back another time because it is close to my work to have a similar experience with the manger. Perhaps he is the son.?
- Pros: Scotch Whiskey and Beer
- Cons: Owner is Apathetic as is Scott? one of the managers
Mediocre food, bad service
by CSMobileUser
I was excited to have an authentic British pub experience. I guess it was authentically British: slow and inattentive service and mediocre food. Charming atmosphere and the beer is ok. A disappointment.
MANAGER AND OWNER WERE RUDE
by ssjackson
Came to pints for lunch with our kids and had very average food, but the atmosphere was decent. The real problem was when the bill came our waitress charged us $2.95 each for 2 kids lemonade that came in a very small coffee mug. We paid the bill and my husband asked the owner about it on the way out and he brushed us off and said" Oh well...that's the cost of a lemonade...if you don't like it, don't come back" By the way, same price as an adult lemonade which comes in a pint glass...not a good bargain if you're a kid. No real harm done, so we decided we might go back the next week and have a beer (WITHOUT THE KIDS) and called ahead to see if the owner would be in. In a light hearted tone I said we'd prefer to come when the owner wasn't in and the manager (Scott) told me "he's always in, so don't bother coming in EVER!"
Don't worry Scott..we wont and I hope anyone reading this review will do the same.
- Pros: none
- Cons: rude
Cask Beer Was Awful
by kbmoney08
I've had real cask beer in Denmark at a place called Cockney Pub. Had some of the best beer I've ever had there, and Pints pale ale cask beer did not compare one iota. Thought I'd try another beer from the menu, and I was disappointed with the Airdale Pale Ale, too.
Pork tenderloins medallions looked like they'd been shaved off a Hormel.
Left after two beers and average food.
Tables were sticky, and the whole place needed a thorough scrub down.
Wont' be going back.
- Pros: Average Food
- Cons: Beers Need Lots of Work
Grungy, improperly kept cask ale, acceptable food
by Unagiman
The Pints Pub clearly indicates that it wants to be like a British pub, with a red telephone booth outside and plenty of signs and documents explaining or alluding to pub mannerisms. The dirty outdoor carpeted stairs are an indication that something is not quite right. Having been to a variety of pubs in England, I can attest to the fact that Pints pub is neither a good imitation of a British pub, nor a place that provides decent cask ale. A few sips of the ale and I had t set the beer aside and seek beer elsewhere later on. The food has a home-cooked quality to it, and tastes decent, but the portions are small and the presentation is lacking. The overall quality isn't all that great either, but some of the best bubs don't have the greatest food. And besides the poor quality of the beer, the numerous postings that tell the customers how one is to behave in a pub are highly irritating and actually ruin any potential parallels to actual British pubs.
- Pros: Food was similar to homeade fare
- Cons: Cask ale apparenlty stale or kept improperly, grungy
I love this place...
by JedZeppelin
Cask conditioned beer. Largest selection of single malt scotches in the US of A. Good (but not great) food. Cool building. English phone booth in front. Friendly service. I'm a fan....
- Pros: Scotch. Healthy take on fish and chips. And fabulous beer
- Cons: Not hyper child friendly
Character to spare

I may be biased at this point, since I've lived in Denver for nine years and have been going to Pints for that long. Pints is one of the few bars in Denver that doesn't carry nasty, watered down beers. Everything on tap is original and cask-conditioned. The place is a labor of love by a guy who wanted to recreate the British pub concept here. It isn't for people who crave Coors Light! But far, far and away, aside from the excellent beer and liquor menu, the best reason to come here is for the amazing crisps...they are addictive. So, even though I am not a fan of English cuisine, that is one snack I now cannot do without.
- Pros: CRISPS!
Burgers are great!
by breedo2000
Good service, good food! Been here several times and have been very pleased with everything. The food is good standard bar food. The beer selection and price is great. Service is attentive and quick. They cater to the lunch crowd during the week, which is nice since I work right by it. You can get in, order, eat, and walk out all fairly close to within 30-40 minutes. Prices are reasonable too!
- Pros: Food, service
- Cons: seating area can get a lttile squished
Beer Needs Help
by rstauff
I hate to say it as I generally can find favor in most beers....but I tried 2 this evening and the Pale and IPA were both horrible. The Pale had a buttery taste which is a sign of high Diacetyl (not good). I really wanted to like the beer since it was brewed onsite, but unfortunately I did not. This is a fun quirky place with great scotch selection and whiskeys, but hopefully they can get the beer figured out in the near future.
- Pros: Scotch, Whiskey and casual atmosphere
- Cons: Beer
Worst manager ever
by Nando1976
We were excited to try out Pints for lunch since we heard good thigs about it. Service was good and lunch went by OK. We were told by our waitress to pay at the bar. When we got there we pass three credit cards and told the manager to split the bill evenly. He started saying he could only split it in two, using a very rude language and pointing to some "policy" in the menu (written in gothic font) which in turn made us angry and very surprised. We couldn't believe how in the 21st century a bill can't be split 3 ways...the manners on the manager were unbelievable, he was mocking us. We had to use only two cards...We are never going back!!!
