User Reviews for Focus Gyms

I have been going to Focus Gym 3 times a week since November 6, 2007. I have been working with Christina to get my body back into shape after 4 years of neglect and stress. On every occasion I have found that the gym is clean, professional and well run. I am happy with the level of results that I am seeing in the less than 90 days that I have been attending. Not knowing the history, I have never incurred a bad experience.

Pros: Good parking, great looking professional staff, live what they teach

Cons: Need a magical fat reducing machine that works on gallons of ice cream

Focus gym is by far the best training gym around. The male and female trainers at focus are very professional and have much more knowledge and experience than your average trainer. They guarantee results and won't waste your time. You'll get a much better workout at focus in 30 minutes than you will somewhere else in an hour. The equipment is great and the gym is constantly being updated. As for the previous negative comments , trying to promote another gym on another businesses page is pretty pathetic. The only reason there is even a gym at 7th and Colorado is because they got their start at focus gym and were given clients.

This is the owner of Focus Gym. I wanted to Apologize for some immature and harsh remarks obviously made by a few disgruntled trainers, that seem to want to bring drama to a seemingly innocent advertising site rather than move on. Focus gym has a terrific atmosphere, up to date equipment comparable to 24hr and Ballys. We have trainers that have experience with injury rehab, nutritional guidance, competitive bodybuilding, to beginner weight training. We have been around for 17 years and still going strong. We dont need to slam other gyms or trainers as that is a sign of jeolousy and weakness. We are backed by our certifications, affiliations, numerous trophys, titles, testimonials, articles, media coverage, and most of all... our clients. That my friends is what makes a gym. I invite you to check us out, you wont regret it! .... In fact , mention this site and we'll give you 3 sessions to try us out. Please remember a true trainer practices what he/she preaches. I dare those trainers or people that try to slam my gym or others, to lift their shirts and compare their bodies to the bodies of my trainers. You'll then understand why we're so confident in what we do.

Pros: great atmosphere, fun, guaranteed results

Cons: we need more space, more supplements( but we have Max Muscle to support us)

I was a member at Focus Gym for well over 2 years. My trainer was wonderful and he has since left and opened up an amazing gym on Colorado Boulevard and 7th Avenue. The owner at Focus used to touch me in a way I was not comfrotable with. The gym smelled awful and I found out after i left he never even paid the people who worked for him. But he was able to buy a Lotus. That place is rediculous and after reading the good reviews of Focus I realized most of the good reveiws were written by people who work their currently.

Pros: They used to have great trainers.

Cons: They have all left.

I was a clietn at Focus gym for a few months and I felt as if my fitness goals were not important except the day I handed my credit card over. My trainer was late and sometimes didn't show up at all. The gym was rarely clean and the reputation Focus has as being a steroid gym fits perfectly. The owner is always blowing up at the manager and the air in the gym smells awful. If you want a little more for your money there are better places to go. Trust me!!!! Good luck with your fitness goals and if I was you I would stay out of the nut house on leetsdale.

Pros: They talk a good game when you first start up

Cons: Lies... Lies... And not respect for their client's time.

Smells horrible... Roid raging owner!!! Treats employees and clients in an awful way. There are better gyms. I go to one.

Pros: There were good trainers there but Taj and David are gone.

Cons: The owner. The smell. The tension. The building.

I've been going to Focus Gym after a friend sat me down about the direction my life was going. I was reluctant to listen until he sat me down with one of Focus Gyms trainers and I must tell you they saved my life! I was given a choice and assured that if I listen to their advice I wont be sorry. We started with a goal to quit destoying my body and map a plan to regain my health. Its been 3 months and I cant thank Focus and the staff for all the help! I've gain weight and my body has changed. I feel like a teenager again and look great! People are noticing my physical change as well as my mental change! As far as the idiot that was negative about Focus get a life man! I've never meet a group of people that care about their clients like the trainers at Focus! Its about you and your needs not the needs of their pockets! Its about the client! I have no clue what you are talking about and strongly disagree with your observations! Focus Gyms is where I plan to refer anyone wanting to change their life!

Pros: The Staff

I can't say enough about the wonderful trainers and professional attitude I experienced at Focus Gyms. I really enjoyed the one-on-one relationship I had with my trainer and the advice I was given to keep up on my maintenace was outstanding. I relocated to another state not too long ago and I have had a difficult time finding a gym that could even start to compare with the experience I had at this gym. I am an older man with some health problems and I was given the best excercises for my condition. If I have a chance to move back to Denver, the first thing I will do is re-join the gym and know that I am getting the best of the best. Again, I can't express enough the satisfaction I have had with Focus Gyms. I highly recommend trying it out. It will do wonders for you as it did me.

Pros: Professional attitude yet caring and focused on each individual

Cons: None

I have read the last review and totally disagree. Ya, there use to be personal problems between the owner and manager but those days are over. If you want real results then you need to be trained by this knowledgeable and professional staff. I have been going to Focus on and off for about 4 years, and have seen it all. But the one thing that you can count on is the results. To the last review you sound like you are a quitter and need to make excuses for your own short comings. There is no smell... Don't forget that Focus Gym does not own the building and are not responsible for the maintenance and up keep. So don't let the last review turn you away. Go to Focus and experience a real workout. Every business has had there mistakes, but the ones that can work through them and get better from them are the type of place that I personally respect and will keep coming to.

I went to Focus Gym for two months to get into a little better shape and perhaps to a body building show what I received was something totally different. First of all the place smells horrible. I'm not sure if there is a sewage leak or if the dogs that live in the gym (yeah I just said that) are peeing all over the floor. Second of all the manager and owner are boyfriend and girlfriend and being there only two months I saw the two get into verbal arguments more than a few times. Instead of counting my reps the two were trying to figure out who cheated on who. If you would like to see a real life drama go to Focus but if you want to get in shape find another gym.

Pros: entertaining

Cons: ambience, service
