I read with some interest the review which appeared in Citysearch on March 8, 2008, posted by “fargo1234". I found this interesting because I was a client of Rain Spa on the date in question, March 8, 2008. After reading the review, I wondered if these young women had indeed been at the same place as I. Then I remembered the women coming in and accepting the hospitality offered by Rain Spa, including the various teas, fresh squeezed orange juice, and the pastries. I was there for over an hour enjoying the peace, quiet and tranquility of the facility. I was first introduced to Rain Spa via a gift certificate I received over three years ago. I have been using the services ever since, have referred several clients and have given gift certificates to others without question or hesitation, and will continue doing so. The facilities have always been spotless - inside and out. I hope that fargo1234's ruthless and unfounded review gets little notice as it is deserving of none, and should be put in the trashcan...

Day at the SPA...more like day at the ZOO. I had 4 friends visiting from out of state and I was embarrassed that this was ranked as one of "Denver's best spas". When we walked into Rain Spa we thought we were in the wrong location based on their website. First of all the facility was absolutely disgusting, dirty, clutter everywhere, out-dated equipment, and the employees were dressed extremely unprofesional. With our first impression, none of us even wanted to go into the rooms. We contemplated cancelling our appointments, and had it not been for the 1/2 price charge we would have. Once inside the treatment rooms there was no relaxation involved. Rooms were in the basement small, cramped, some didn't have doors and the walls didn't touch the ceilings so you could hear the services going on around you and the people upstairs. My friend's massage, facial, and pedicure were all interrupted at one point or another. The owner, even took a call from a complaining client which led to only one foot get messaged and scrubbed. At the end of my pedicure she wrapped my feet in plastic bags promising me it would keep my polish from smearing. Once I removed the plastic bag I realized her "little trick" hadn't work and my polish was smeared all over my feet. I called to get a partial refund and I was told it was unfair to them because we didn't tip them enough. The prices are comparible to four star spas. The robes provided had holes in the butt, were tattered and you had to sit in the front lobby while wearing them. We were required to wait up to an hour between services. They were extremely undetstaffed. There were two of us in pedicure chairs while the employee went back in forth to each of us during the service. This Spa practices false advertising, and should not even be called a spa. We were there for 5 hours, for services that should have taken three or less. Needless to say, it was not the relaxing day with the girls that I had hoped it would be.

Pros: Location

Cons: Atmosphere, Cleanliness, Professionalism, Comfort, Skill Level, Prices

So.....my friend and I received a wonderful gift of getting massages. We are both estheticians that love what we do and know how to take care of our clients. The only time we could get a massage was on a monday. Great so we scheduled them. First we found out that there is only one massage therapist on that day. Ok fine we could deal, we would just sit a read while we waited for eachother. We got there and come to find out one of us would have to leave for an hour because she had to lock up. Are you kidding me! Good Lord I'm not going to steal anything! I don't know any spa that would make you leave. I came all the way down from colorado springs and didn't feel like walking in the cold for an hour. So I left while my friend got her massage. I was not about to get my massage and let her touch me. When my friend came out she was not pleased by her service. And while getting her service she had the nerve to talk about me and saying how I had an attitude. I'm a very understanding person and I think anybody wanting to come and relax and have an experience would be upset and have a little bit of an "attitude". Well needless to say DON'T GO! Oh yeah and she's the freaking OWNER! That should tell you of what kind of place she's running. And go ahead and respond how ever you like. I've noticed quite a bit of spas are shutting down in Cherry Creek, with service like yours, I'm sure you place isn't far behind from being shut down!

Pros: open mondays

Cons: not inviting and make you leave because of inadequate staff.

I went to this spa with a close friend. We both got swedish massages and our experiences couldn't have been more different. I had Amanda and she was awesome. It Very relaxing and she didn't talk through the whole thing. The music was soothing and the place had a nice ambience. My friend however had another person do her massage (I can't remember the woman's name), but said she talked through the whole thing and was anything but relaxing. Overall, I would go again, but make sure to book an appointment with Amanda.

Pros: Great Ambience, Great location, and nice staff

Cons: Inconsistency in level of services

My husband and I have been visiting Rain Spa for years, we've felt for a long time that it's Cherry Creek's best kept secret. We wanted a place that we could go as a couple, but we really wanted a neutral environment that was not too femine or masculine so we could both enjoy it. I thought I would never be able to get my husband to a Spa, but he has never passed up a massage at The Rain Spa. After visitng some of the trendy spa's of the moment, we found Rain Spa to be our perfect fit. Cherry Creek has changed a lot in the past few years, but Rain Spa has always delivered. I've been giving my family gift certificates for holidays, and they've loved the spa just as much as we do. If I could reccommend my favorite treatments, it would be the manicure/pedicure combo, while my husband claims the swedish massage is his cure all for stress. Even when our life has changed, i.e. job changes, kid stresses, moving, Rain Spa has been there to give us the jolt of life we need. As long as they keep on delivering, we'll keep on coming back.

I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. Don't go here! I went there for a brazilian and got Kathy. The front desk assured me she was very good, even great. I've had brazilians before and was familiar with the waxing procedure. Not so here. She was very chatty, to where it was awakward. Then didn't remove all the hair. I had to shave! Not what I wanted. I'll take my money somewhere else.

Pros: none

Cons: the service

My first impression was rather disappointing. While the receptionist was friendly, the rest of the staff, who were sitting at their desks when I walked in, were rather cold. The rugs were in dire need of vacuuming and there was only one small wicker "sofa" in which to sit on while I waited for my appointment. From the reviews I had a expected a serene escape, but it was not that at all. I did find the massage was very good, as well as the facial, but I just could not get past the disappointment of the establishment itself. It's hard to get past first impressions in this spa. I've been to other spas and while this was not the worst I've been to, I'd just rate it average.

I came in for a brow wax about a week ago and wasn't very impressed with the spa at arrival, but I figured I needed them done so I stayed. I asked the esthetician to not take too much of my brows considering they were already thin. When I finally got up I was HORRIFIED!!!! All of my brow was practically gone and she didn't even mention how bad they turned out, when she obviously knew I was dissappointed. I complained to the front desk, but they still charged me for it. Do not go here if you want your eyebrows done!!!

Pros: None

Cons: Not well trained staff
