Oil change and the like.
by staylorx at Citysearch
Dropped my jeep off before school, took the light rail into town, and it was all done after two classes. Fast, cheaper than I expected, and completely thorough. For instance, I asked them to perform the jeep's maintenance book service, which they went through, did the service, and marked off the appropriate services. When we went to ring up I thought they were mistaken: almost half of what I pay the oil-McChange people. I'm a big fan of the franchise oil change shops for sheer consistency of service, but Swis is making me think about our local merchants again.
I just called again to schedule a change for another vehicle; they said show up and we'll make it happen. The guy on the phone said, ask for me and I'll take care of you. 'Nuff said.
I'm so impressed I signed up for citysearch to write this... and I'm lazy.
- Pros: Convenient, Priced Right, Extra Mile Service
Unbelievable Service

I recently had an unexpected road trip for a funeral. My car is 11 yrs old, with very high mileage, so I ran it over to my regular mechanics at Swis for an oil-change and a quick inspection before I needed to leave that same day. Unfortunately there was a brake issue that needed to be fixed and would take a couple hours. Knowing my situation, Larry at the front desk actually offered me the use of his personal vehicle to run my pretrip errands and finish my preparations so I could still hit the road on time!! And my car was ready earlier than expected as the guys put it on high priority. I've been going there for years and this kind of service shows why.
Impressive and honest

I started taking my car to Swis (I-25 and Broadway location) a couple of years ago due to the convenience of the location right next to the lightrail. I can drop my car off in the morning, ride the lightrail to work, then pick it up that evening. My interactions with them have been great -- they consistently tell me what is necessary, and what is not. I have done routine maintenance at Swis, and I also purchased a set of 4 new tires from them 2 years ago.
Last week, my boyfriend took my car elsewhere for an oil change, and they found a nail in one of my tires. This other place (I think it was a Firestone downtown) said it was not repairable, and gave him a quote for replacing 2 tires (over $200!). I took my car over to Swis, they took a quick glance at it, and said not only is it repairable, but we'll do it for free right now if you want. 10 minutes later I left with a repaired tire.
This is just another example of Swis's honesty and excellent customer service. They've got a customer for life!
- Pros: Honesty and great customer service
- Cons: none
