Bonnie Brae owners say untrue!. We do not use a powdered dairy mix by any means, in fact it comes fresh from the dairy, made to our specifications. If you're interested in our ice cream making process, feel free to stop by and ask for a tour. We'd love to show you!

They make their ice cream from a POWDERED MIX. I asked for an ingredients list and discovered that they make their ice cream from a powdered mix. I do not call that "homemade ice cream." Go ahead and ask for a list in ingredients. (In the state of Colorado any place that serves food is required to give you a list of ingredients if you ask for it.) It seems to me that the advertising slogan "We make it here!" that they have displayed on their awnings, while it may be true, is also deceiving.  View Less View More

Super high quality ice cream, atmosphere and service. The ice cream is dense and wonderfully fresh. The energy here is always VERY friendly and great for families or dates. A true Denver calssic. Be sure to call ahead for peanut-free options.  View Less View More

This locally owned ice cream stand is a cool stop for lovers of old-fashioned confections.. In Short
True believers in "I scream" from the surrounding neighborhood and other areas call this place home. The vibe is full-on retro, from the pin-striped decor and teenage counter jockeys to the all-ages crowd and friendly service. Patio seating adds vintage charm. Ice cream is, of course, the main course here, and it's made on the premises. Lick it from atop cones of all types or enjoy your scoops in sundaes, splits, shakes and other frosty treats.  View Less View More

Fabulous. The greatest icecream ever. Rich, creamy and the best favor selection. Great atmosphere and a great date place.

As good as it gets. I tried this place years ago and just keep coming back for more. I'm finding myself there at least once a week for my vanilla malt "fix". The staff is friendly, the ice cream is top notch and it just seems like the place to be on a hot summer evening. The long line always moves quickly thanks to 6 or 7 hard working high school kids. I also noticed in the Rocky Mountain News ice cream article that they have the cheapest prices in town. Enjoy!!!!  View Less View More

Absolutely fabulous!!!. This is the cutest place in town! The whole area is so quiet and very reminicent of a small historic town. The ice cream was sooooo good! I haven't been there in about 5 years, but I can still picture the place in my mind and taste the ice cream in my mouth. I give this place an A+!  View Less View More

Cold love in a cup or on a cone. Great icecream...what else do you need from an icecream store?

Creamy. Anytime we head down to Bonnie Brae we stop in. Their ice cream is real. They have great variety also. You can take the ice cream on a walk, sit outside or grab a chair inside.  View Less View More
