The quality of the food makes the menu a great value. Atmosphere is classy but casual. Wednesday night ladies nights are HOT.
Pros: Great Value
Cons: Parking can be tough on weekends

I was so disappointed in this place. Not only are the staff rude and inconsiderate, but the food was awful. My potato/apple something tasted like it had freezer burn and the creme brulee tasted like it was just unwrapped out of a plastic package. Great atmosphere and great potential but wow. I think it's a management issue...and staff issue...and chef issue.
Pros: atmosphere
Cons: food, staff, manager

The staff ranges from insolent youth to attentive & professional, but the food almost always makes up for it. The one time I didn't care for my plate, there was absolutely no question about replacing it and making me happy. This is my choice for difficult to gauge diners, there's always something for everyone and the menu items offer innovative flavors without being ridiculous or indecipherable.
Pros: Reliably tasty food, friendly service more often than not
Cons: Pool tables: That area used to be a splendid live music room

I love Wash Park Grille as a go-to option for large and small gatherings, eating on the patio, or happy hour in the bar. It is a great, multi-functional restaurant and I love the redesigned pool lounge. I have probably tried almost everything on the menu and have rarely been disappointed. Favorites are all of the appetizers, pizzas, field greens salad, Italian penne pasta and key lime pie. I recently tried two of their newer appetizer items; the beef tenderloin bruschetta and the lobster mac & cheese. The bruschetta was to die for and the mac and cheese was excellent. I'll always love WPG-it's a staple of the community and always a good experience!
Pros: Ambiance, food
Cons: Parking, Menu prices seem to have recently gone up

I just went to Washington Park Grille to check out their Sunday brunch buffet, and was pleasantly surprised. Not with the service, by any means, but the wide selection of food made up for the unenthusiastic staff.

Went to happy hour here with some girls, have been here about ten times. Happy hour is from 4-6:30, $3 house wine and wells, $2 drafts and half price delicious appetizers. We arrived at 3:50 and the bar manager told us we had to wait the ten minutes for the happy hour pricing. His sarcasm and snooty attitude about the situation was a bad start to the evening. Luckily we had a very nice server who took over and she did a wonderful job. We had a pound of shrimp for $5 and then a meat, cheese, roasted garlic and cracker platter for $6 and lots and lots of $3 wine! Great girls night out, but the negative service by the bar manager left a worst taste in my mouth than the garlic .
Pros: Great food and Value, One of the Best Happy Hours in Town
Cons: Spotty Service

This is our first message and review of a restaurant. However, this is not our first time eating out, but in fact Washington Park Grille was our first date and we can both say that they keep us coming back. The Calamari is exquisite, the wrapped salmon is to die for, and you cannot go wrong with a bottle of Matua, Sauvignon Blanc! The service is excellent during the week with a more private setting due to the lowered occupancy. During the weekend, the atmosphere is busy with a slightly older crowd gathering at the bar, while servers race across the floors delivering some of the best cuisine in Denver. We live in the downtown area and frequent Washington Park Grille at least twice a month. Parking is easy with a valet service that is open until 11, and if you like this try Max's Gill and Grill right next door, we hear that the same chef heads the kitchen! Bon Apetite!!!
Pros: Great Food, Great Wine, Great Ambience, Complimentary Valet Parking
Cons: Service on the weekends sometimes slightly slow. Can't make a reservation on the weekend.

The atmosphere in the bar is decent, but the food was horrendous. My fiance and I split the Prince Edward Island Mussels, and they were tasteless and bland. She then had the salmon, which was also extremely disappointing, and my stuffed pork chop was as tough as shoe leather. Maybe they can get it right on a weeknight when they're not as busy, but I'd avoid this place on the weekend or busy nights. All in all, the food was terrible and we were very disappointed. Maybe we're snobs after living in San Francisco, but this place is NOT worth the money. My search for great food in Denver continues...

we spent the weekend in denver and had brunch on sunday before we left to back home to l.a. standard brunch food, but a little fancier than other places - we had two kinds of eggs benedict, blintzes, stuffed french toast, rissotto cakes, mini belgian waffles. they even had fresh fruit smoothies! everything was delicious, my favorite was the mini egg custard pie for dessert. we'd definitely come here again the next time we're in denver.

I went there on a date with my boyfriend and it was such a nice experience. The food was good and the wine even better. Our waiter was courteous but left us alone enough for it to feel romantic. I really enjoyed the atmosphere too...the lighting makes it perfect for dates.
Pros: nice atmosphere, great wine
