I came in to get my hair highlighted and ended up leaving paying $300.00 and had my hair low-lighted brown. I have a lot of hair and expect to be at the salon for several hours, which this salon also delivered. When we got started, I made myself perfectly clear that I wanted to maintain a blond color, but that the tone was a little too brassy for me. The woman that attended to me took this to mean that I wanted my hair colored brown, apparently- even though she insisted that the lower tone was still blond. She put low lights and highlights in my hair and did so very sloppily. As I sat processing, she left me with color all over my face, which did stain and to which she did nothing to try to prevent or fix after the fact- telling me that it would surely wash off in the shower later. Since I was left for an extremely long time to process, I got curious and started looking at my DARK BROWN low lights and became even more concerned to see the brown seeping into the blond foils due to lack of care. I was really upset, and the hair stylist seemed not even to care, and told me to wait two weeks and then come back to fix it if I still wasn't happy. The next surprise came at the cashier area, when I was told my botched highlight would cost me just under $300! I was shocked, so I insisted that the cashier tell me how the cost could get to that level. She explained that I was charged for the amount of color that they used, plus an extra fee for 'color correction.' So to make this clear, if you have long hair and they need to fill up their bowl with more liquid, they will charge you $50 per new bowl. AND, because I was pressured into putting two tones in my hair (which left the general color brown) I paid $50 per extra bowl of color for two colors- and of course a general fee for 'color correcting.' WOW! I did call to complain over the next two days and no one answered the phone, nor did it pick up to an answering machine. This was the worst experience I've ever had.
Pros: None that I can think of
Cons: Poor service, Insane costs, long processing times, unskilled staff

This salon was amazing! I was greeted promptly as I walked into the door, and I was taken on time for my appointment. I plan to stay at this salon for a long time! All of the hairstylist were very accommodating and knew a lot about hair. I had very over processed hair when I came in and Nicole walked through my options on how to get my hair back to a more healthy condition. Nicole gave me, what she called a chemistry system, which I was leery about, and the integrity of my hair after just one treatment felt so much better! We also did a highlight and all over color that turned out great! Reading some of the not so happy posts boggles my mind! When the color and treatment were over Nicole assured me that EVERYTHING was guaranteed, and told me not to hesitate to call her if there were any adjustments that needed to be taken care of. WHAT MORE COULD A WOMAN ASK FOR?!?!?!?!?!?!
Pros: FREE PARKING
Cons: no tips on credit cards

Too expensive. Too uncaring. No follow up. Didn't color all my hair : me to come back and as with everyone else I'm busy. To come back in a week or 2 to try again was not going to happen. Let them try again to mess up on the color again. First time customer and totally disapionted with the service and large fees.
Pros: off street parking
Cons: non caring lack of any follow up

Allure is an upscale yet casual and comfortable salon. Plus, there is always lots of free parking....I have been going there for more than a year now and could not be happier. I had had enough of snobby overpriced Cherry Creek Salons that I always had to struggle to find parking near. SHEENA is the best for haircuts and highlights. She always takes time to talk with you and figure out exactly what you want... if you want to look like Kate Moss, she'll help you. No matter what, you always come out looking fabulous. JAMIE is the best for waxing. Even if you come in with some crazy uneven overgrown brows, she makes you look beautiful in minutes. They also have a wonderful selection of magazines to peruse while you wait for your color to set. Only bad thing... there are no magazines in the front of the salon to read while you wait for you appointment to start. You have to go in the back to find them....but there are always delicious homemade cookies, coffee, and lemonade out for customers, so I guess that makes up for it.
Pros: parking, cookies, sheena, jamie, really nice receptionists

I get facials once a month, a luxury... I know. Jaime was great -- good service, conversation, and a nice "touch." Two things, however, I want to bring to their attention (I hope), is how dirty the "spa" room is. I understand that this is not going to be a day spa locale, however, I don't think the baseboards, walls, and OMG the air vent have ever been cleaned. I know that when I have a facial done and especially waxing, I would like a clean room... it makes me wonder if there has been other items in the room that haven't be cleaned -- eeks. Also, when giving a bikini wax, PLEASE wear latex gloves -- for our protection and yours!!!
Pros: Staff
Cons: Dirty spa room

I know I am in the minority....but I was very disappointed with my color and cut. I showed the stylist pictures to indicate the color I wanted and it was not even close. I won't return.
Pros: Great atmosphere
Cons: Expensive

I was so lucky to find this place (referred to by a friend). My friend gave me a 50% off coupon so I got my hair highlighted for around $30 and it looked great. Then I went back with my sister and got $20 off my haircut just for referring her. Again, loved my hair and so did my sister. The normal pricing is incredible compared to what other nice sallons charge. $32 for a great hair cut (compared to at least $60...). Plus you get a discount every time you refer someone new. Sheena is awesome and I will be going there from now on.

I went to this salon twice. Had to go back the first time to get the cut done further since I couldn't work with it as it was done. Went back (since they gave me a 25% coupon) but to a different but highly rated stylist and was as disappointed if not more with the results. Turned out the coupon only applied to the color and I somehow was charged over $100 for the most mediocre/bordering bad haircut I've ever gotten. Total was approaching $200 which is more than I've ever paid for a salon treatment.

This was my first time to this salon and I was a little nervous, but this place was fantastic, the people were friendly and it wasn’t pretentious as some other salons I’ve been to are. I ended up being about 15 minutes early and I was taken back early!! Kathy was everything I could have hoped for. She was honest, down to earth, very friendly and told me the truth about my hair. This is what I have been looking for in a hairdresser. I’ve already booked my next appointment, and am super excited about the new cut. But, bring cash for a tip, otherwise you’ll have to come back.
Pros: Kathy
Cons: Can't put tip on card

Love the facials at Allure - Jaime is terrific! The series is a great deal too... definitely worth ponying up early if you're going to be back for more!
