Big buildup, mediocre and extremely overpriced

I went to this salon twice. Had to go back the first time to get the cut done further since I couldn't work with it as it was done. Went back (since they gave me a 25% coupon) but to a different but highly rated stylist and was as disappointed if not more with the results. Turned out the coupon only applied to the color and I somehow was charged over $100 for the most mediocre/bordering bad haircut I've ever gotten. Total was approaching $200 which is more than I've ever paid for a salon treatment.

I've never been loyal to a stylist until I met Michelle Kelly! For over two years she created beautiful color and amazing cuts for me... I've referred several of my friends to her and they all have become loyal clients as well!

My choice for years

After being recommended by a friend in Moab UT, I came to Allure and Christen took my hair firmly under her control! I get regular compliments as in "your hair always looks so great" and "how do you keep your hair so wonderful all the time." Of course, I tell them Allure is the answer and they should ask for Christin. I go once a month for my "age regression therapy" i.e. color touchup to my roots. Every two months I get hilites. i feel good and look good so give them a try!

Christen is absolutely wonderful -- she knows what I'm looking for in my hairstyle. I can tell her, with minimal word description, not just how I want my hair to look, but how much time I want to spend on it every day.

Thank you so much to everyone at Allure. I had a very positive expierience at Allure. I saw Nicole Blackburn, I had been referred to her by a friend that has seen her for years. I love the color, and the cut! She did a great job, and I enjoyed everyone else that I spoke with while in the salon. Thank you again!

Christen is great!

I was reading all the wonderful reviews and decided to try the salon out myself. I saw Christen and she made me feel like I have been seeing her for years! She explained everything that she was going to do before she did it and also explained why it was important. My hair looked amazing when I left! She also is in charge of training all the new stylists so I felt very secure knowing that she knew what she was doing. I was very happy and will definetly be back!

Michelle Kelly is a unique hairstylist in Denver - she listens to what you want and gives great suggestions and ideas. I have been in Denver for 7 years now and she is the first stylist that I have actually wanted to return to on a regular basis!

A Top Notch Salon!

My visit recently was to see Nicole, who not only is the owner, but also a stylist. It took me a bit to get in with her because she is booked months out. However, from me leaving my number with the receptionist to call if there was an opening, I was able to get in sooner.

From my initial consultation on my hair and what I wanted, yes she acutally talked with me before she even touched my hair, I could see why she was so busy. Very professional and not hesitant to let me know what my hair needed, to be and stay healthy. She didn't try to over sell me product that I didn't need. Of the product that I did end up purchasing, the use and direction of how and when to use it was explained in detail. I was informed that if I had any questions after I left, to just call. That's reassuring to know that once I leave, i'm still welcome to call with questions or any concerns. This was told to me not only from Nicole, but the receptionist as well.

As I was waiting for my hair to process, I noticed how everyone worked as a team and was very kind to me while I waited. More than one person asked how I was doing. There were no attitudes and I felt very welcome as the salon has a warm comfortable feeling to it.

I overheard some of the stylists talking about how they were going to some color/cutting classes and how the salon was paying for it. I inquired with one of them how often they get continuing education and they replied that Nicole is very persistant about them as a whole, staying update to new product and techniques in color and cutting design. It's refreshing to know of the skill, but more than that, to hear the stylists in the salon talk positive about their employer. I don't know how many times I hear negative things about one's employer and how they don't care for their employees. This made me more aware of how things operated in the salon. There was a light, cheerful atmosphere that you could sense. It was nice and made me feel more comfortable with my visit.

I would highly reccomend this salon, and any of their stylists, to anyone looking for a professional color or cut in the Metro area. Although I've heard of people coming from CO Springs and Fort Collins. Wow!

I must say that at the end of my visit I was informed that it would be a while to re-schedule with Nicole, again as she is very popular. I can see why after my visit, but what really got my attention in a good way, was that Nicole herself told me to try and get in sooner with another stylist. Imagine that, a stylist that had my well being as a priority, not her client list, bookings.

This salon, staff, and owner has opened my eyes up to the way a salon should be ran. I often tell people about my experiance and know the phone number by heart. 303-715-1000. That speaks in volume of what kind of place Allure is. You can be assured that if I ever have a problem, I feel that it will be approached in a professional manner. I highly reccomend Allure Hair Studio as a place to get your hair done. Top notch!

Highly Recommend Jami and Allure

Allure is a great neighborhood spot that provides the best of both worlds - the customized attention of a local shop with the expertise of a big city salon. Jami provides excellent waxing services. She is quick, talented and takes good care of her customers -- always listening to what you want and making sure you always leave happy. I tried Allure from Citysearch and found Jami from the site. I was nervous finding someone new when I moved to Denver but she put me at ease right away. That was 4 years ago and I've never looked back.

KJ was GREAT

I needed to find a new hair stylist and decided to go to Allure, I went to KJ and she did a great job with my color. I wasn't for sure which direction or what color to go with, thank goodness I went to her because I would have gone with the color black. She advised me to go with a deep dark brown which came out AWESOME!!! I will be going back and can't wait to see what she will do with my hair cut!!!
