Purchased 2 Scooters 2 Different Times From Sportique.... Awesome!!!!

by cory_in_denver at Citysearch

I purchased my 1st scooter a used 50cc Kymco from Sportique in April 2007, Adam & Val were my Sales Specialist at the Pecos St. location. Adam had me ride more than several different types of scooters before i made my choice to buy from them the following day, low pressure with lots of info on questions i had. I really enjoyed my 50cc all summer long, Colin scheduled some work to be done on my scooter during that time that I also had great results from.... Then on September 1st they opened their S. Broadway location, I went to the Grand Opening and ended up test riding some New Scooters that Adam once again set me up on... to my delight I fell in love with the new Genuine Buddy 125cc Series Italia and traded in my 50cc Kymco... I appreciate all of Adams Help and knowledge, and Colin has been on top of things whenever i have questions that need answered and appointments for service... Both Locations Rock!!!!! Thanks Guys & Gals!!!!

  • Pros: New Location On South Broadway Is Awesome.....
  • Cons: Now I Dont See The Group At The Pecos St. Location As Often.....

Look at all these reviews, some posted one day after another, others posted the SAME DAY!

When you need to resort to writing fake reviews, it's clear your business has failed.

Avoid any shop producing their own fake reviews.

Excellent Service - Quality Staff

by NativeScooterist at Citysearch

I've been going to Sportique since 2002 and have always had great service and support from them. If you have questions, ask them and they will be answered. They'll be honest about the strengths and weaknesses of scooters both modern and vintage. They'll be honest in what can be done to improve your scooter should you want it or need repairs.

Don't expect to be treated like royalty though. The staff are there to put you on the scooter that's right for you - not to bow and scrape before you. Go in there acting like Queen Muck and they're treat you they way you treat them.

I've been there when a customer has come in to complain, too. They'll do the best can for you and bend over backwards to get the situation set straight as long as your respectful. Act like and prat, and you'll be treated like one.

This place is THE PLACE to get a quality scooter and have a staff that that KNOWS how to fix them properly.

The best place in Denver for scooters without a doubt.

  • Pros: Most knowledgable staff when it comes to scooters

These guys are the real deal!

by Flounder5280 at Citysearch

I've been a customer of Sportique for close to 9 years now and they have always been good to me! It's nice to know that in a time when "scooter shops" are popping up left and right selling cheap plastic toys, there is still a place I can recommend to people who want a fair deal on a scooter they will be happy with. Keep it up guys!

  • Pros: Expert knowledge, quality worksmanship!

They ARE rude...

by TonyDelarno at Citysearch

The plethora of fake reviews here is staggering and only proves how these negative reviews must be so correct.

Look at how they are posted one day after another or on the same days even. Look at how they usually mention Collin by name!

I called Colorado PowerSports for a price on a Scooter. They quoted me $100 UNDER MRSP ON THE ROAD!! At Sportique it was $500 ABOVE MRSP!!

Bottom line, these guys are unethical crooks. Avoid!

PS. Take a look at Craigslist trying to sell their second hand scooters for MORE than other dealers are selling BRAND NEW models for! That's because they bought them at Sportique!

  • Pros: Good range, quality machines...
  • Cons: About 34% more expensive than other dealers

Sportique keeps growing and getting better

by rally200 at Citysearch

I have been visiting Sportique in the Highlands for many years and I have always found that location to be an incredibly friendly place. They fix old scooters like my Vespa and stock parts for it, too, and have since the late 90's. Now they have a location at S Broadway and Quincy which is more convenient for me. I am very impressed with the place. It's far larger that the Highlands location and it's well staffed. They incorporated Toy Shop Racing - a goped dealership - into the store and hired a guy named Ray Kite to run it. Ray is the nicest and most helpful guy you could ever hope to meet. Sportique seems to be dedicated to customer service more than ever before. This is a real local business that we should be proud of. Look around the city at all the wanna-bees trying to be like Sportique. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery the guys there must be blushing.

Sportique is THE best scooter shop in Denver.

by morrison1 at Citysearch

The owner, Colin, told me that it is his mission in life to please scooterists. I took my 50cc Vespa to Sportique to get it upgraded to 70cc. Colin took great care of me. Sportique got the parts ordered and installed quickly, communicated well to keep me updated on the status of the job, and the scooter is awesome now that the kit is installed. Everyone I talked to there (Colin, the parts guy, a couple of sales guys, and the mechanic who did the work) were all super friendly and more than happy to answer all of my questions.

Colin lives up to his word that it is his mission in life to please scooterists. I'd highly recommend going to Sportique for all of your scootering needs. Sportique is Awesome!

  • Pros: Great customer service, Best mechanics in town.
  • Cons: None.

Aweful experience - very rude employees

by saskia_huben at Citysearch

Sportique took my scooter in the spring of 2007. It turned out that the engine had been blown and that we needed a replacement engine. They found a replacement and it took 5 months to put it in the scooter. When we got the Scooter back, it was scratched, missing its rear basket, and the battery was dead. The people at Sportique denied any responsibility for the scooter's condition and were out of a battery and baskets. When the battery finally arrived, we had to convince them that, in fact, they had drained the battery and that we deserved a new one. They had "tossed" the rear basket and kept talking about the time frame that it took for us to get back to them. All in all, they ruined the scooter, took no responsibility, and kept it all summer last year. They never returned phone calls or e-mails and made us feel like we were in some way responsible. Horrible, and I will never go back!

  • Pros: Good selection of scooters
  • Cons: Horrible customer service, rude employees, lack of communication whatsoever

Genuinely "old skool"

by milehighmister at Citysearch

Came to Sportique after visiting bigger shops like Fay Myers and Erico. I must say it was a huge relief to discover a place where they still "get it". They were super helpful and knowledgeable. You can't fake the experience these guys have. They sell nothing but scooters and it shows. I bought the Vespa LX150 and I love it. I can't recommend these guys highly enough. 4 Colorado Stores - Highlands, Englewood, Colo Spngs and Boulder.

  • Pros: awesome staff, great selection, super friendly approach

Great price, great service

by oldcoot at Citysearch

I bought a Bajaj Chetak from Colin and he gave me a good price. I didn't even have to haggle and the buying experience was great. The Chetak is an awesome scooter. After a few weeks I took it in for brake work, they had it fixed perfectly by noon the following day under warranty. And they threw in a free cable adjustment. The new Englewood location is great, they have lots of room and a fine shop.

Sportique has never done me wrong.

by genty at Citysearch

I've been a customer since day 1; I even ate a piece of the grand opening cake. Sportique Scooters has never done me wrong - I've owned three vintage Vespas and a Lambretta - I've never been disappointed or cheated. Likewise, I've never had a problem with their straight-forward attitude. As a customer I've bought everything from a helmet to a rebuilt engine, and I've had all types of service work done. Colin, Dan, Adam and crew know more about scooters, both vintage and new, than anyone probably should. Sportique revived Denver's vintage scooter "scene" as well as helped to make new "twist-and-go" scooters popular around Denver. Simply put, without Sportique, Denver's scooterists would be screwed.

  • Pros: Vintage Vespas, parts, and service done by local pros.
  • Cons: No free ice cream.
