User Reviews for Jay's Patio Cafe

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

Wandering around the newly hot Highland neigborhood, I bumped into Jay's Patio Cafe, and was like, whooa, this menu rocks -- so nice to discover a deli in Denver featuring sandwiches like Jerked Chicken Panini, Wasabi Roast Beef, Buffalo Chicken Panini, and Chipotle Turkey. The guy's got this "Best Sandwich in Denver" sign, so my expectations were kinda high, but I-kid-you-not, after chomping down my Barbados chicken panini, I realized that this place was the real deal. The staff was actually really cool too.

Pros: Plenty of parking

Cons: Not open on Sundays

We looked everywhere for a quaint deli with a nice patio for a large group gathering. We finally found Jay's! Not only are the sandwiches unique and delicious, Jay knows how to treat his customers. He was exceptionally service oriented for our needs. I would highly recommend stopping by Jay's for lunch or to call him for your catering needs.

Pros: great patio, quality, excellent service

Cons: small inside

Cruising by Denver's Platte Street, we bumped into this quaint, bright cafe on 15th. It was a revelation! The lunch menu is truly innovative. The Wasabi Roast Beef was perfect; on my visit, the Pesto Chicken was top notch. My son had the Bella Italia, a balsamic-dressed ham-and-salami panini on ciabatti. Jay (the chef) has turned "sandwich making" into a real art. For dessert, try the cheesecake brownies chased down with a double latte. Catch this guy before he opens 4 or 5 of these places!

Pros: Plenty of parking, affordable, great service

Cons: limited seating, closes at 3

Tucked between Lodo and the Highlands, this "boutique" cafe delivers a wallop of flavor. On my first visit I tried the Jerk Chicken Panini; it was delish. Went back for the Pesto Gorgonzola Turkey, that was also fabulous. My friend loved the Poblano Clam Chowder. I give this gem of a cafe: two thumbs up!

Pros: good prices, good parking, fast service

Cons: limited seating, not open Sundays, only 1 location

This eclectic cafe is a real gem....located in Highlands East near Lodo... I had the Barbados Chicken Panini with Chipotle Mayo, it was incredible.. my friend tried the Sherried Mushroom Soup Combo with Red Ancho Turkey Sandwich... the meal was a winner. Save some room for cookies and brownies.

Pros: Free Parking, Terrific Food, Inexpensive
