DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!

The guys were almost an hour late, one worked really hard, but the other was slow and had to be told over and over and over to "pick up the pace". His co-worker had to keep getting after him to "get a move on". When I called the main number, the guy (who is the owner/the person I made the reservation with) actually yelled at me, was unprofessional!

The owner asked to speak with the fast guys, after speaking to him and confirming my story, he didn't even extend me the common courtesy of apologizing for yelling and cussing at me! Wow~ HORRIBLE customer service, very unprofessional.

This company sends slow guys to get money out of you. My quote was $89 an hour, they charge $89 right off the bat for (travel time) A one bedroom apt took almost 4 hours!!!

I will NEVER use these people again! They have been reported. I had NEVER been spoken to the way the owner spoke to me. When the owner of a company is THAT unprofessional, you feel hopeless and stuck. I might as well have rented a donkey and hauled my stuff yourself!!!! I would have been better off and the donkey moves much faster.!

They made moving so much less stressful. They showed up on time and in no time they had everything packed, moved and unpacked. The movers were really nice and friendly.

The Strong and Silent Type

The two men who moved my furniture do not even fit into the category of movers- they were as careful with my stuff as I would have been. They charge hourly, and it is important to allow plenty of time; it took a good hour longer than I expected. In the end it is worth it, though. My items suffered no damage in this move, and in the history of my moves, that is a first.

Not worth the money

I would not recommend this company. The two movers they sent complained the entire time about how far they had to carry our things and how hard it was going to be to find a parking spot at our new location. They were incredibly slow and nearly doubled their estimate on the phone. A simple move, which should have taken around 3 hours, took 6.5 hours and costs entirely too much. Had they brought three movers it would have been much faster. Additionally, they asked for a tip when we were signing the paperwork. Not a very classy company to say the least.

• Cons: They were slow, talked a lot, and complained the entire time.

Generous delivery

They treated our stuff with care and treated my new home with care at their best effort. All of my stuff arrived just fine and nothing broke.

Only thing that did not make me happy was them moving the piano where i told my husband where i wanted it down into the basement and the movers left it in the livingroom and they said they would send someone out to move it into the basement with in a week. My husband kept forgetting to call them back after the week had passed. So the gentelman I spoke on the phone is pretty upset about it with his boys and a bit at us for the time had passed. Hopefully the situation will get solved and find out why they didnt come back to finish the move or so.

Great company

A Man with a Van has moved me about 4 times now, and it has always been an extremely positive experience. The movers were professional, friendly and very fast! I've been amazed every time at how fast they moved my things, seeing as they're getting paid by the hour. They were very careful with my belongings, and the price is very reasonable. Setting up an appointment was also quick and easy. Would highly recommend and will definitely use the next time I move in-state.

Man With A Van - Did exactly what I asked for at the quoted price.

I see that some of the comments here are extremely negative; however, my experience with A Man With A Van was very positive, timely and efficient.

I am a certified customer who did not have a large job - pick up reupholstered furniture and move huge, heavy refrigerator upstairs. Nonetheless, I was treated as if it mattered.

The reception staff and the movers are attentive and professional. JUST A NOTE: I would advise that one not talk to the owner; rather, ask for one of the staff as the owner is a little prickly. Outside of that, I know these folks will get the job done and get it done right!

• Pros: Movers are caring and professional; office staff efficient and attentive; well worth it!
• Cons: Owner can be a bit testy.

Job well done!

Extremely efficient, Man With A Van, handled all my belongings with great care. In addition to being carteful of the items they moved they also blanket wrapped my bannister and put blankets on my carpet to protect it. The movers were polite and hardworking.

Taking them to court it was so bad...ripped me off

Absolutely terrible. I had two movers that charged me 9.5 hours for a move out of a one bedroom and into their storage facility. They ruined my armoire, dresser and broke my speakers and glassware. I called to complain and was told I'd have to take them to court to get them to pay for the damages or to reimburse the over-charging for the move. The owner was condensending and called me baby and yelled at me. So I'm getting the papers together to take him to court now. The move out only took 4.5 hours (with travel time). Must more reasonable...

Great loading experience

I was extremely pleased with A Man with a Van's service. The two movers I had scheduled to load up my moving van arrived right on time at 10AM ( I was given an arrival window of 10-11 AM). The movers were professional and efficient. I would highly recommend this company's service to others.
