I have long thick hair and don't trust it with just anyone. I started going to UR when Carole was still there. I was devastated when she moved to NY. However I have been going to Amanda for the past year and can't say enough great things about her. She listens and she works with you. She makes sure that you're both on the same page and gives you the best look for you! Wouldn't be caught dead anywhere else! The 2 stylists I've had from UR - Carole and Amanda receive 5 stars plus! Why go anywhere else when you got the best service here regardless of the stylist?

Pros: Amanda, reasonably priced, atmosphere and staff!

My husband and I just moved here from LA and I was hesitant to get my hair cut, as I'm really picky and am usually disappointed after the cut. I decided to try Amanda at Urban Renewal after reading all the reviews on CitySearch. She was AWESOME!!! i love my cut, she was very attentive and seemed to take the time with my hair (it's long and curly). My husband went to Andrea and it was one of the best cuts for him too! I started cutting his hair in LA because no one cut it right (he has medium length hair and curly- think AF model hair) and was so expensive. We have found great cuts that you don't pay an arm and a leg for!! YAY!! Highly recommend Urban Renewal!!

Pros: Inexpensive, good haircuts- good location

Cons: salon seems small

I would highly recommend getting your brows waxed at Urban Renewal. I've been a customer for 2 years! Michelle the owner is SPECTACULAR! Michelle got me started on Dermalogica products, and she is a wizard at skin care. I also had my haircut by Andrea, she did an amazing job. I like the more boutique feel you get from this place versus being in a huge salon with a ton of gum poppin stylists. You really feel like you're in a special spot when you visit Urban Renewal. Try to park in front of the salon at the meters on Colfax or for free on Marion. Marion is usually all full at the end of the day, but if you're willing to walk a bit, you'll be fine. Be sure to make an appointment!

Pros: Skilled staff and wonderful atmosphere!

I have been to all the waxing studios in Denver and not been impressed until I got refered to MIchelle at Urban Renewal Salon. Getting your brows and brazilian done is really hard to find a person that excels in both but she does! Michelle reshaped my over plucked brows (by other waxers), had me grow them in so she could give me "the perfect brows" as she told me she would and gave me one of the fastest and least painful brazilian I've ever had! I'm not a big reviewer at all but when it involves brows and pain enough said! The whole salon is a good environment with great products and if my sister wasn't a stylist I would try out the girls at Urban because everyone I've seen that walks out looks great. p.s. ask Michelle for dermalogica samples during your wax...she's generous with them.

Pros: great product lines...good prices on services

Cons: haven't had any yet!

I tried Urban Renewal out for about a year before ultimately deciding to switch to Luxe. The haircuts were decent by the stylists were either rude and obnoxious or passive and unconcerned. I finally made the switch after they canceled my morning appointment because the stylist was feeling "sick."

I have been going to Andrea for a while now and I love her. Not only is she sweet as pie and unpretentious, she is awesome at color and awesome at cuts. I have hard to manage baby fine hair, and yet she never ceases to amaze me. She can do both professional looks and hip looks. She cut my hair drastically yesterday and changed the color to something crazy and hip and yet it still looks very proffesional. Any time I tell her what I want she tells me what will look good with my skin tone and facial structure and we come up with a great color and cut together. Go see her! Also Michelle is the best waxer, especially eyebrows, EVER! And she is so nice! Come here if you are tired of uptight, expensive, pretentious salons that just aren't giving you what you want and dont listen to you and are pushy with products.

I highly recomend urban renewal and the girl to go to is Amanda!! She does my color and my cut.. and let me tell you i have a really hard color to do and im very picky about it! i moved here about a year ago and have tried many different salons and no one could get my color right until i found Amanda! its Gorgeous and i cant tell you how many compliments i get on it. I also highly recommend Michelle for waxing.. she did a beautiful job! Its a very friendly atmosphere and a fun place to spend time in.

UR is great for all their services! I have been seeing Mia for over 2 years now, and i couldn't recommend her more! My hair has crazy texture but she always gives me a great cut with lots of attention to detail! and she takes her time to make sure it's right every time. and Michelle is amazing for any wax you have done. She makes it as painless as possible! Call ahead to book appt. though, she is in high demand! The atmosphere is always comfortable, never the drama i found at some other shops. We currently moved and i still drive from Thornton to downtown for my cuts and wax!

I have been in to Urban Renewal for a variety or services. For the best eyebrow waxing ever, you need to visit Michelle she is amazing; low pain and great shape! Then for a stylish cut and incredible color Yvonne Cole is your girl. She has a tremendous eye for color and a special flair for style. She is patient, friendly, FUN and very stylish. She is great at giving you the cut you want and incredible with stylish suggestions. After 5 years of Yvonne doing my hair I have never had a cut or color from her that I have been less than thrilled with. If you want to look hot on your next night out Yvonne is your girl.

I just want to say that I love the girls at UR Salon. I have been coming to the salon for literally years and it always feels like home. I have never had a bad cut here and I think I have seen about everyone that works here. Tried and true, I love this place.

Pros: Atmosphere, cool music, no snobbery

Cons: No refreshments other than "Water or tea?"
