IF YOU LIVE IN DENVER YOU HAVE TO GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!
by luanned
My boyfriend and I went to eat there tonight, he is a denver native who has also had formal culinary training and has worked in food for almost 20 years and he thinks this is the best pizza he has ever had in his life. I am a NY native and I think it was the best pizza I have ever had too. The pizza was so big, great!!! It was very filling and the leftover pizza was the size of a standard large pizza. The owner came over to speak to us and see how we heard about it and the service was very quick and friendly. I would recommend this place to my friends from northern NJ and the pickiest pizza eaters out there and I don't think anyone would be at all disappointed. The key I think was the crust that made it so unique, just like fresh french bread.
- Pros: FRIENDLY SERVICE, QUIET ATMOSPHERE
- Cons: NONE
No other pizza in Denver!!! This is it!!!

We have had other pizza in the city and this is the best, hands down. We lived close to this little family owned place and recently moved on the other side of town. We searched for a place closer since we had to drive 20 minutes each way to pick it up. After a disappointing search, we returned to Pantaloene's and when we walked in to pick up our usual (Pepperoni and black olive), they called us by name, said they missed us and we vowed to never go anywhere else for pizza. Their crust is amazing. Their sauce is great. They are generous with the toppings. It is worth the drive. Give them a try.
- Pros: Great pizza, locally owned
- Cons: Adequate, but not great service for dine-in
Biggest crust EVER!!!

The Pizza Trio plus two ordered garlic bread, an Italian salad and a pizza w/ 1/2 cheese and 1/2 sausage. The bread was good (again, not enough garlic!) and was smothered in mozzarella. The salad was just enough to share with all five of us but was mainly iceberg lettuce and the goodies were sparse. The italian dressing was good and a member of the Trio said that the ranch dressing was "bomb!" The pizza came out and was HUGE! It had two inch, big puffy crust and was smothered in cheese. The sausage was tasty (homemade?) and overall we were all stuffed and brought home leftovers. One member of the Trio could only eat one piece it was so big and cheesy! The atmosphere is okay (open and spacious but nothing to write home about)- we were there with only another group of people (four police). The music was kind of loud and varied between classic italian and pop/rock which was confusing and somewhat distracting! Overall, good pie.
- Pros: pizza, service, salad dressings, sausage
- Cons: Italian salad, loud music
The search for the "Best Pizza Ever" has ended

I love Pantaleone's. The pizza is awesome, the ambiance is welcoming and unpretentious, and the staff is efficient and gracious. It is by far the best pizza I have ever had. The ingredients are fresh and homemade. I believe they make the italian sausage "in house" and it is some of the best that I have eaten. Besides having incredible food in a comforting atmosphere, it is nice to have such a great restaurant owned by a local family. I eat at Pantaleone's a couple of times each month and always feel appreciated by the owners. On my last visit, the owner came around to every table asking how the meal was and thanked everyone for coming.
I recommend that everyone try Pantaleone's. After one visit, the only pizza in your life will be Pantaleone's.
- Pros: Food, Ambience, Service
- Cons: No cons
Cheesy, heavenly goodness

So good. Never been let down. Everything tastes homemade with love (crust, sauce, sausage, etc). I'm drooling thinking about it.
- Pros: Pizza
- Cons: Pricey
Great family owned restaurant

My husband introduced me to Pantaleone's about 5 years ago. Although we now live further away, we make the trek there from time to time. Being from the East Coast, not far from New York City, finding decent pizza in Colorado can be hard, but Pantaleone's does not disappoint. Their pizzas are awesome as is their Greek Salad.
- Pros: Great pizza ad Greek Salad, large portions,
- Cons: service can sometimes be a bit slow
This mom-and-pop restaurant creates some of the best pies in town.

In Short
Pizza purists, addicted regulars and Mile High Italians have kept this place in business for years. Plenty of Brooklyn accents here. The house specialty is a Sicilian-style, thick-crust pizza as fat as a forearm. It takes an hour to prepare and is available Tuesday through Thursday only. The thin-crust features a delicious, crisp-on-the-bottom foundation covered with bubbled and browned cheeses. Toppings include all the usual suspects, as well as homemade sausage and meatballs.
My new favorite...

After weeks of driving by going to work, I had to try "Denver's Best Pizza". It's the best I've had, and the owners are such nice people, we have to go back. The "kid friendly" is the bucket of crayons at the table, but we didn't have to wait for a table and the food came fairly quickly as well. Definitely worth the money...a small pizza and a half-order of spaghetti/meatballs will be about 3 meals for my son and me.
- Pros: service, meatballs, pizza
Pizza that makes your mouth water.. Thanks Pete

I have been in Denver all my life and life would not be good with out trying this pizza. You get what you pay for. A little pricey but when you sink you teeth in to a combo pie, the cost is all forgotten. You are now in pizza bliss. Every flavor is going over your tongue. And the homemade ingredients are peacefully attacking your taste buds. By far the BEST pizza in this town
- Pros: Fresh made, True New York Style, Homemade Ingredients
- Cons: No Cons
