Should have done my research! by amy a. at InsiderPages

Do not use!
I used Mile Hi Aeration for their liquid aeration and fertilization product in March of '08. It started off poorly when the service technicians lied about doing the back yard when it wasn't completed (the gate was locked). After having people return to service the back yard the grass was COMPLETELY FRIED. I spoke with Crystal who indicated Ted, the manager, would drive by the property and look at the grass after 3 weeks of watering with no improvement. Bottom line, I never heard from Ted (via email or phone). Crystal indicated we would receive a rebate but that never happened. To top it off, I've received three emails reminding me to sign up for fall services. Yeah, right. Tough lesson learned: Always do your research. PS: Don't forget to look at the Better Business Bureau for formal complants against Mile Hi Aeration.
Migh High Aeration SCAM!

I called them to aerate and fertilize our lawn after hearing how they use 4" plugs by using the heaviest machines out there! (radio ads). They came out, took the check they said to leave under the front door mat on the porch, put a sign in our yard and did nothing else. I called them back, they said they would show up and do the plug type of aeration as I was under the impression I would receive. They only came a removed the sign (after I bent it in all sorts of directions -- leaving it on my lawn for others to see -- I should have wrote all over it with a big magic marker ). I put a stop payment on the $79.00 check. As far as I am concerned, my check paid for a portion of their radio spot and the sign in my yard, nothing else. Avoid these rip-off artists like the plague! I've reported them. Terrible customer service and they don't do anything they say they promise in their advertisements. Talk about bait and switch advertising!
- Pros: None
- Cons: Rip-off artists!
Be like me, make the switch, not worth the headaches

Avoid Mile High Aeration Like The Plague!
by katoom at Citysearch
Like another reviewer stated, one star because I can't go any lower. I took a day off from work to wait for their "service." Nobody showed up even after I left several messages with the company. I e-mailed them and called them about the no show. Nobody bothered to return my messages and I never received an apology or explaination. However, they continue to leave me messages asking for more business even though I have told them numerous times that I want to be on their no call list. Zero customer service.
- Pros: I don't believe that they have murdered anybody yet.
- Cons: No concept at all of customer service.
LEFT A STAR BECAUSE THAT's the LOWEST I could go, -1000stars, DON'T USE MILE HI AERATION!!!!!

I'm glad so many have had problems with this company, Crystal at Mile Hi escalated the issue and blamed me. The owner, Maury (so I'm told), doesn't return calls. I had a problem with Mile Hi before and they were difficult to deal with. I didn't use them for a couple of years and decided to try them again, what a mistake!!!! They came out and only did my front yard, but they left a sign indicating "satisfactory" service, a note stating they had "professionally completed the job", and took the check. When I called to state they had not touched the backyard, I was first asked if the yard was locked. Then they told me, their employee had an emergency and had to go. I wonder how you can leave a note saying you completed the job, leave a sign and take the money, if you had to leave in a hurry. Why would the company not let you know this before you called!! Crystal is very very unprofessional and rude, and the issue escalated. I requested a refund of my money and have not received it. I did write on their sign and put up another sign stating not to use them. Mile Hi managed to see my signs but couldn't manage to complete the work. Not to mention that they never apologize or take responsibility for anything.
My sister had a problem with them and told me not to try them again, I feel so dumb. They never did her yard, stated they did it when she called them, then bugged her for several weeks to pay for a service that never occurred.
I have never met anyone who was satisfied.
If they won't do an aeration service you can see, they surely won't do a service you can't tell has been done.
They don't care about customer service, they don't care about customers, they are a total rip off.
If you want to take a chance of being one of 6.6% of satisfied customers, or one of 14.8% who said the company was average or above. At least take this advise: DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE. DO NOT PAY UNTIL THE WORK IS DONE AND YOU ARE SATISFIED!!!

- Pros: NO PROS

This company is a joke, and the woman answering the phones is beyond rude. I spoke with them several times about having them repair a sprinkler head that they repaired during aeration, and I was repeatedly told that they would take care of it the following day, which never occurred. I called again first thing this morning, and the woman answering the phone yet told me that she wasn't in the office and she would call later. When I called again at 2:30 in the afternoon and expressed my frustration with the multiple delays, I was yelled at repeatedly and essentially told that my issue wasn't important. She was incredibly defensive and had no concept of customer service. This company clearly has no incentive to keep current customers happy. In the future, I will happily pay more for better service.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Horrible customer service, poor response time for problems.
What a Joke - do not use them

They did an absolutely terrible job aerating my lawn. Perhaps twenty holes/plugs in front yard, even less in the back. My wife and I just walked around the yard, laughing. They also will not return my calls or emails. I wish I had seen these reviews before using them. And to think, I left the guy a $10 tip up front because I was not here when he came. DO NOT USE MILE-HI AERATION
- Pros: none
- Cons: poor service, poor customer service
worst company

I had to wait all day for these people as they in no way can leave you a 4 hour window-even though the e-mail stated they would be in my neighborhood that day. Had to call them at 4pm to see if they were coming and was rudely told they work from sunup to sundown they'll be there. So the guy shows up and literally ran this machine on my front-side and backyard in like 7 minutes! What a joke-there are no plugs just thumbnail lenghth dirtballs-speaking of @#$#% this company has none. WARNING don't use these people!
P.S. I just cancelled my check so if they want there money they can take me to court!
- Pros: none
- Cons: inexperience, rude, lame, fraud
MILE HI AERATION IS LOUSY

I wouldn't recommend these bozos to aerate the air. The destroyed marked sprinkler heads and keep calling FIVE years after I last used them, eating up my cell minutes.
Worst company in Denver? Why can't we rate something zero stars? ;-)

Boy, I wish I had found these reviews before I first made the mistake of booking services with Mile Hi a couple of years ago. My story will sound very familiar to anyone who has read the reviews on this site.
Although they managed to do an OK job of aerating on a couple of occasions, all other experiences with them have been terrible. The extra cost fertilizing and overseeding was a complete waste of money. Even worse, when I scheduled a gutter cleaning, they completely blew off two appointments without explanation. When I contacted them, they followed their script and said "we don't do business that way - can we reschedule for this week?" Eventually, weeks later, a contractor came out and only cleaned one of the four gutters on the house (not coincidentally, it was the lowest gutter that I could have done myself). They took my full payment and never came back to finish the job despite several attempts to get them to do so. Yes, I could probably take them to small claims court, but I can't be bothered to spend the necessary time for a lousy $60. I'm sure they depend on most customers to make the same calculation.
Finally, to add insult to injury, they continue to make pre-recorded telephone calls to both my home and cell phones and send spam to my e-mail address constantly despite repeated requests that they stop. Once they have your contact info, they will NEVER stop calling/e-mailing. Even the FCC citation they received in 2003 (go to www.fcc.gov and look up "DOC-237936A1") hasn't stopped them!
BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ IN THESE REVIEWS - DON'T BECOME ANOTHER VICTIM OF MILE HI SERVICES! Caveat Emptor. You have been warned.
- Pros: Might get lucky if you use them
- Cons: Horrible service, unresponsive customer service, constant telemarketing/spam
Don't trust Mile Hi
