Buyer beware! The few times my wife and I have visited New York Deli News the food has been good. The service is a little mixed, we have had a great server and a couple bad servers. However, our last trip was a disappointment. We had decided to go for a mid-week dinner since we received a coupon in the mail for buy one get one free, but when it came time to pay the coupon was not honored. This is partly our fault so read the coupon very, very carefully. We went during the requested times, ordered the necessary drinks, but when it came time to pay it had to be in CASH, which was detailed on a separate part of the coupon. So our mid-week dinner that was going to be a unusual treat for us turned into a $35-40 dinner at a deli. We feel the coupon was misleading and the cashier didn't care at all. We asked if they had an ATM and she said somewhere across the street had one. It was a kind of gotcha, scenario!!! As small business owners my wife and I just were not impressed. I guess they were right when they say "Now Entering NY" at the entrance...they just don't care!
- Pros: Good Food
- Cons: Mixed Service, Misleading Coupons...
Best Sandwich in town

I went with a group of four military member for a good lunch. I ordered the half sandwich corned beef and pastromie on rye. Best Sandwich I have eat in forever. HUGE! I would have to say at least one pound of meet. Even the coleslaw was great and I hate coleslaw. Our comined bill was $47 and when we went to paid they gave us a military discount bring the total down to less then $26. I great suprise to follow a great meal. Perfect Kosher dills waiting for you when you get to your table and incredibly large portions of food. Staff was super friendly and place was amazingly clean. I will definatly be back and bring many more friends with me. I cant wait to go get my drink on and eat a late night meal there! You want a good meal or the best sandwich of you life go to the New York Deli News you wont be sorry.
- Pros: Huge food portions and a military discount
Salty and Dry

My friend and I have been wanting to try this place and unfortunatly will not be back. The meat on both sandwhiches was very dry and salty. The coleslaw had no flavor and the fries were average. Every sandwhich is around $10.00 and looking back should of went to Subway for 2 subs and would of been better satisfied. Only NY thing about this place is the price and service.
RUDE AND ABRUPT

I have been going to this restaurant for almost 20 years and have recommended it in the past to my collegues. During the last visit, a heavyset, redhaired woman greeted me at the door and told me I could not bring any beverages into the restaurant. I had a Starbucks latte and was almost finished. She was abrupt and very rude and was very hostile. I tried to explain that I was almost finished, but she just stood there, hands on her hips and glared at me. There were no signs indicating that beverages were not allowed and she would not listen to anything I was trying to say to explain that I was almost finished. After a few very tense moments, I decided to go somewhere else where my business was appreciated. I had driven across town with the sole purpose of eating dinner with my wife.
I am not sure I will ever go back or recommend it to anyone again. I don't feel there was any excuse for her behavior and felt both embarassed and angry. I was going to contact the manager or owner, but can't seem to speak with anyone who wants to listen. If they don't want my business, then I will find somewhere else to spend my money
- Cons: VERY RUDE RECEPTION
Great food- great wait staff- owners are greedy and RUDE!!

As with everything else you pay for in this world...if it's served up with a dose of nastiness, it doesn't matter how good it is. Al and Tori are making a mint in this restaraunt. The food is outstanding, especially the mushroom gravy (i dip my fired in it). It is superb. I feel bad for the wait and cook staff to have to put up with such monsterous owners though. If they are nasty to their good paying and loyal customers, they must really treat the staff poorly. I have been going there for years, as previously stated...the food is outstanding. However, if by chance something is not to your liking...in my case my fries were cold and tasted like they were fried in a dirty fryer, don't bother telling the owners. They make enough money in their place to not seem to give a darn about the few they lose for horrible service. Your dollar only goes so far here...if you never have a complaint. If you do complain about something...put on your armor. I eventually got tired of the mistreatment by the owners....dripping in huge diamonds and gold...trying to swindle me out of my hard earned money. I only ask for what I pay for...and when I get it...I pay and tip generously. Here's a tip...buy take out, and hope to God they get your order right else you'll be battling it out with the greedy and nasty owners!!!!
- Pros: Great food
- Cons: Nasty owners

New York Deli. Great sandwiches. I really love the potatoe salad and the different breads you can choose from, to make your sandwich. This is the best place to grab a sandwhich.
Real New York-style Deli in the Denver suburbs; who'da thunk?

Nov 29 2008. This was our second visit to the New York Deli News.
Our first vist, back in May 2008, was wonderful. The food, though just a bit pricey, was genuine New York style Deli. I could not believe prior to this first visit that a real NY deli existed in Denver. I was convinced otherwise. The potato pancakes could have come from my very own frypan. I think they stole my recipe! All our meals were superb!
Our second visit in November was almost as good; but not quite. Most of our meals were superb. I had ordered a platter with a bagel and a bialey. I had commented that I didn't think a real NY bialey existed in Denver. I was told otherwise; but, as they say, "the proof is in the pudding". The bialey was CLOSE to a NY bialey; and would have been acceptable had it not been stale. It was lightly toasted, and crumbled as I tried to spread cream cheese on it. It was almost painful to eat; at the very least, it was difficult.
I will go back, because the food overall is superb. But I will never again order a bialey at New York Deli News.
- Pros: Excellent menu choices; emulates the best of many of NY's finest deli's.
- Cons: Pricey. Even for New York. And this isn't New York.

This is a popular breakfast and lunch spot. The stuffed cabbage is excellent, as are their sandwhiches. Save room for dessert, as this place has great cheesecake and carrot cake. (and you can take a whole cake to go as well!)
Great Food - Unique Items

I have eaten at NY Deli News many, many times over the past two years, and have rarely had a bad experience. In general, the staff is friendly, the food is consistent, and the menu LARGE! I'm not a fan of sandwiches in general, but several of my companions have ordered sandwiches there and enjoyed them piled mile high with meats and cheeses. I love the dinner entrees! The stuffed cabbage is amazing. The roasted half chicken is great, as is the salmon. I've even enjoyed their Italian entrees (chicken parmasean, etc.) The specials are terrific - particularly the lamb shank, and the meatloaf - TO DIE FOR! Call ahead early on Mondays if you want them to save you a the leg of lamb - they seem to run out early on occasion!
- Pros: wide variety on menu, large portions, good value
