DISAPPOINTED!

My family and I had eaten here before with good memories. However, on our last visit it was a great disappointment. The waitress made a rude comment to us when we ordered. Upon asking her to repeat what she said, she denied making the comment. It was too late we had already heard her say it. When the order came (Sesame Chicken) it was very hard. There was also a hair in the rice that we ordered. The taste was bland. This is one family and friends that will not be going back. Big disappointment!

illegal substanc dealers launder money using this restaurant

DENVER – FOX 31 News has confirmed that local and federal authorities are investigating suspicions that a corrupt cop tipped off an alleged contraband lord that he was under investigation.

It was the largest investigation of its kind in the country last February.

Court documents tie politically-connected Thornton restaurant owner Dan Tang to a multi-million dollar illegal substance ring.

Investigators raided numerous homes, seized 24,000 illegal plants worth $24 million dollars. But FOX 31 News has confirmed that an anonymous letter tipped off Tang that the cops were watching and as a result, he began dismantling the operation.

Police were worried about losing evidence and started raiding the houses. During one of those raids, they found the secret letter warning Tang.

FOX 31 has also confirmed authorities believe the letter was written by an officer on the North Metro contraband Task Force. It leaked details and spilled information only someone involved in the investigation would know.

The DEA and representatives of the eight law enforcement agencies on the task force say they cannot comment because the investigation is on-going. But they did issues a statement saying they became aware of a "breach of confidentiality" last February that "involved the release of information that directly and negatively impacted an active investigation."

They say they launched a joint investigation with the DEA which continues today. And add they intend to identify and prosecute the person or persons responsible.

Great Chinese place to eat

I've eaten here plenty of times before. I'm always satisfied with their food and great services as well. Greeting and seating is prompt. Food is good.

Good Deal Great Food

We are new to the Denver area and stumbled onto Heaven Dragon in Arvada (of w 64th), thinking it was another boring strip mall chinese restaurant. Wrong! It was a cozy, unique little dine-in place. The staff was courteous and service was prompt. The food was great. Even my children love Heaven Dragon. Wether we eat in or take out, the food is always good. The kids love the sweet & sour chicken, I love the orange chicken and my husband always gets the beef lomein. The prices are very reasonable and we always have leftovers - which we always finish the next day. Heaven Dragon has quickly become a favorite that the whole family can agree on.

My favorite place ever!!!

My family and I have been eating at Heaven Dragon since Tony owned it YEARS ago, when it was in the other side of the strip mall. When Dan bought it the quality and service went up and we've spent TONS of money there. It's the only Chinese place I go to and we order take-out from there as often as possible. I love the atmosphere and if Dan's in when we visit he always stops by our table for a chat. I couldn't care less about the pictures in the reception/cashiers area. It's the food that matters to me and it's FANTASTIC! Too bad I'm stuck in Manhattan, KS and can't just go pick up my favorite dish whenever I want. I miss Heaven Dragon!

More for me !

The Republican decor didn't bother me...in fact for those who won't eat there because of it all I can say is "Cool...it's just more good food for me!" I absolutely am hooked on thier Wallnut Chicken and I am not big on Chinese foods, but this stuff I love! It's always way more than I can eat and I always have enough left over for another meal for lunch. I loved the decor...the tables and booths were beautiful and I loved the murals. I thought the service we recieved was wonderful. A very nice young lady. I would recomend it to anyone and have taken my sister in law there when she was here from Oregon and she loved it too. We usually do take out and its always fresh, hot and more than generous helpings. It's my favorite restraunt in Thornton.

Great Food and Good Service

My friend and I went to this restaurant because I had read the reviews and thought I would try it out. We actually got lost on the way there (I'm still very new to Denver) and when I called, the owner answered and gave me specific directions from where I was. (Very nice!) I was expecting a normal Chinese restaurant and when I got there I was so surprised! The business is actually in a something like a strip mall, but the atmosphere was fantastic! All the windows are a type of stained glass art. The beautiful tables and chairs were even like a decorative part of the whole place. Old style lamps! We felt like we were back in Japan at one of the tea houses there. We were greeted very warmly and seated promptly. As soon as we were seated our server was there with water and ready to take our drink orders. I was so happy they even had choices for their hot tea! We finally decided on our food, not too many choices though. Our food arrived piping hot and much faster than I expected and it was served to us by the Chef himself! The food was very good. Most places have overpowering spices that seem to conquer the taste of the other ingredients. This place had food that was seasoned to perfection! I could taste the meat and the vegetables and it was all cooked. The meat was perfect for the dish and the vegetables were just right. I had the Scallops in Shrimp sauce and it was to die for. My friend had a Beef dish (not sure what it was, but it was tasty). The portions were really big... too big for me to eat. I already recommended this restaurant to several people and they have all told me great things as well. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to taste their meal not just the seasoning!

Inspiring Chinese Food!

Me and my family have enjoyed Heaven Dragon for many years. The food quality and service are consistently good. A store front local does not represent Heaven Dragon well and may keep some from missing out on some very good Chinese. The menu is ever expanding and diverse. Personal favories are Orange Beef and Lemon Chicken with Combination Lo mein. I have read a few of the reviews about the Republican lobby which it is mostly, however there is a Democrat or two pictured with the owner Dan. One of my favorite parts of Heaven Dragon is the owner who as a young man escaped Communist China, made his way to the United States and has become an owner of a sucessful business that has served the even the President. A very great and inspiring accomplishment that pallets from either side of the aisle can enjoy.
