Longer wait than I would have thought for a weeknight several hours after local offices have closed. The food was good, but for the price and the portions, I'd go elsewhere. I've given this place a try twice now -- there are many great places to eat in the Tech Center area so I don't think I'll be back.
Pros: long wait, pricey for the portions
Cons: good location if you work in the Tech Center

My husband and I had dinner here last Sat. night. Reservations are not needed, it was pretty dead for a Sat. night but I'm guessing it is more popular during the week and at lunch since it is located in the Tech Center. We sat outside since it was such a nice night but the inside of the restaurant looked beautiful. Our waiter was great and answered all of our questions about the menu. We started out with the lobster dumplings. They were good but couldn't really tell they were lobster. Our dinner was fabulous. My husband had the burger which he loved and I had the short stack of ribs. They were fabulous! Cooked just right and had a very tasty sauce on them. The short stack is actually an appetizer but was plenty of food for me, my husband even had one or two pieces and it was still filling. It also came with some cole slaw. You can order the full stack with fries and cole slaw but I would imagine you would have tons of left overs. I was a little hesitant going here after reading the reviews but we had a very nice experience and would definately go back! (P.S. I am stayin "stack" of ribs because it won't let me use the "r" word, haha!)
Pros: Great food, quick service, knowledgeable staff
Cons: Can't think of any!

The foods good, especially at dinner. Nice atmosphere. The lunch menu is a little skimpy. Slightly upscale (price-wise).

Went with co-workers for lunch... mediocre service and very mediocre food with a fairly high price tag. My guess is that the prime DTC location drives business because it can't possibly be the meals. I won't return.
Pros: Great location
Cons: Very loud, so-so food and spotty service

I came here on a Friday night after spending happy hour at Cool River across the street. We had dinner in the bar area. Customer service was good. We split a plate of ribs and the waitress even pre-split the plate out for us which was very convenient. The ribs were fantastic. The house salad was okay but nothing fantastic. The bar area was actually pretty empty after 8pm so service was pretty quick. Prices are a little steep for a "tavern" but not out of the ordinary for the DTC area. I had thought there would at least be sandwiches or things of that nature on the menu that could be had for a little cheaper, but they really only had entrees priced in the upper teens into the twenties.
Pros: not too crowded late Friday evening
Cons: a little pricey for a "tavern"

I had my wedding reception at the Great Northern. The service was just spectacular, and the food was outstanding. I received many compliements from my guests. Another bonus--I wasn't charged for the room, just a flat rate per guest. Furthermore, they didn't charge me for my no-shows. I couldn't have asked for more.
Pros: Creative menus, Lovely service
Cons: Expensive, Noisy

Perhaps I was there on a bad night, but I was entertaining some people from out of town. The food was really average, but the service was definitely below average. I waited for 30 minutes just to get an appetizer I had ordered - and I received the wrong coctail... twice!

Had a business dinner with my sales management, a party of four. Hadn't been to GNT for some time, and found it quite noisy in the main dining room. Otherwise, the food and service was excellent. Three of us had the steak tenderloing, each with a different doneness, all to perfection. I thought the phyllo encrusted mushroom & gorgonzola had a bit too much bite. Our fourth asked for the scallops wrapped in bacon. This was not on the menu, but was served to his satisfaction.
Pros: Food, Service

This is by far the best restaurant I have been to since moving to Denver, I would recomend it to everyone.
Pros: Food, Service, Selection
Cons: Price

The coldest, greasiest, pastiest prime rib I've ever endured. I would have sent it back, but were were nearly 30 minutes just waiting for our entrees' to arrive. A can of beer was brought to our table - with no glass. This could have been overlooked if they'd been busy, but there were only 9 tables filled, and this was at 8:15 on a Wednesday evening. Sometimes bad service can be excused. But bad service and bad food - never. And don't even get me started on the prices! $$$$
Pros: Location, Parking
Cons: Prices, Service, Food
