Don't believe the haters!

I've been a loyal Indulgences customer for about a year and a half now, and I feel I must post a rebuttal so some of the slander that's been written here. Slander which, interestingly enough, always seems to coincide with employee turnover, though I don't know if those that are no longer there left of their own accord. While there is a fair amount of turnover, that's the type of person this industry typically attracts. And for every employee that leaves, there are several more who've been there for years, some since the spa's been open. I've been able to see the same massage therapist, esthetician, and nail tech since I've started coming, and if I'm with a new practitioner, I can tell they've spoken to my "regular" to see the type of service I prefer. And the services are always up to my level, and I've been impressed with the way employees react to problematic situations, which, let's be honest, occur at EVERY type of business! The desk might be a bit immature (their receptionists are young, and mostly still in school), but they're very eager to work with clients to get them what they need. Recently I've been greeted by name, which makes it that much more home-y. My recommendation to people looking for a spa that's affordable and a great bargain for the money would be to try it out and make your own decision. Don't trust negative reviews that almost all seem to mention, by name, employees who are no longer at the spa. You'll leave relaxed, comfortable, and satisfied with the experience.

TOO MANY TIMES.....

I have given the Spa time after time to many chances, Now I'm way done. The owner, needs to get some serious help, and than maybe try some mangement classes, not sure that would help. I had this wonderferul older woman doing my facials wow she was amazing, now she is gone. Your massage therapist are so horrible that I hurt for days after my massage, how do you send customers home feeling bad?? Front desk, Hooray for Justine, but the rest need some real guidances, and manners. I will never tell anyone about this Spa, and hopefully the owner will get the help she so needs.

Rebutal to Angela's Rebutal Above

I normally would not use a review page as a sounding board but when checking to see if my review had been posted I have a few questions for angela. Are you an employee? After a year and a half you were just checking out reviews on citysearch? Your comment about "the type of of person this industry attracts" is offensive to every massage therapist, nail tech, esthetician and stylist alike. We are dedicated, hardworking and loyal employees. I came there for massages and I can tell you that "if" you had been going to Indulgences for the past year and a half, you were not seeing the same one. As far as the front desk "young and immature" is not exactly how to describe them, they are not teenagers in High School! At the hair salon where I work, we also have esties and nail techs. Our average length of stay is almost 2 years. Indulgences length of stay is maybe 6 months. Ask yourself angela, why is turnover so high? Management generally is the answer. By the way my review which was a negative was replaced by this review!

Loved it!!!

I chose Indulgences Day Spa because I live in the area and what a treat! It was one of the best massages I have had, Aerin (Erin) was thorough and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I look forward to my next visit and will recommend it to all my friends!!!

great day!

I was recently in for a massage and pedicure. The massage was one of the best I've in a long time, and the pedicure lady was friendly and informative. Best of all, the only retail recommendations I recieved were things the therapists truly thought I could use. I also enjoyed my time in the waiting room. The desk staff is clearly knowledgable about everything at Indulgences, and gave us great recommendations for dinner. I'm telling all my friends to go, and I'll definitely be back!

Nice...BUT!!!!!

I had a nice day, 4 weeks ago. At Indulgence Day Spa, very nice and clean, the front desk needs some help with there attitudes, but I had the most amazing facial, by a older woman who was so refreshing to be with, the massage was good not great. I had a pedicure, and the girls was very friendly, but as were sitting there just relaxing, I can hear the girl up front on the phone, with must have been a boyfriend talk, talk about everything under the sun, the owner must have came in and she has the loudest mouth ever, not sure I will come back to a place with a owner, and front desk people like that. Sorry Indulgence you just got the thumbs down award.

Excellent Day Spa

This is a great day spa! I have been going here for facials for just over 2 years now. My esthetician, Karyn, is wonderful. She is experienced and well-versed. Karyn always makes sure that I have a most relaxing and enjoyable facial. I am so pleased with how my skin looks. The front desk staff, especially Emily, are pleasant and knowledgeable. I always enjoy coming here - the location is charming.

Helpful and Friendly

I recently went to Indulgences and had an awesome facial with Danie, she was very gently and understanding to my needs and when I was finished she directed me come back and I most definantly will. I look forward to visiting as often as possible (budget allowing)

Used to be GREAT... now, not so much

I have been going to Indulgences for quite a while and have found them to be lacking recently. The staff turnover is sad. They used to have a wonderful front desk woman who knew your name and worked hard to get you the time you needed. Now the girls at the desk are more interested in looking perky than in helping the clients. Karyn is the BEST facialist in the city. She is fun to spend time with and very knowledgable. I will continue to go there for her.

Always a great experience!

I am a repeat customer at Indulgences and there is a very good reason for that, they provide excellent customer service. I have had several of their services including massage, facials, and manicure and pedicures. Every service I have had has been done with the utmost attention to your comfort and relaxation. I would love to be able to go every week if I could afford it!
