Gourmet Mexican Food by Cheri W. at InsiderPages

We love authentic Mexican food and have found that this restaurant offers combinations that are very unique and could be considered gourmet. I love their Barbacoa tacos and their Lime chicken is great. Margaritas taste wonderful - we usually stick with the house due to price.
Casa Bonita has better food.

I have had much better food at Taco Bell. The drink price was a mystery. They are making a "new" drink menu so in the process, they have no price to look at.....until you get the bill. Ouch!
The food was so bad. Save your money. Was not happy.
- Pros: ambience
- Cons: food
Great atmosphere, TERRIBLE food.

The restaurant certainly doesn't live up to some of the raves that I've heard. I've now been there twice, and won't bother going back. Sadly, it could be so much more than it is. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, and wouldn't mind the insane waits if the quality of food matched. But you can get better "mexican" food at any On The Border or other chain restaurant. Don't waste your time or your money!
- Pros: Great ambiance.
- Cons: Terrible food
Casa Bonita quality, Morton Steakhouse prices.

The food is bland, the service is slow, the place is crowded. Save your time and avoid this place.
- Pros: Nice atmoshphere.
- Cons: Terrible everything else.
Good Food, Bad Service
by goombay1234 at Citysearch
Apart from some of the other reviews the food was not great, but good. The ambience is more upscale which is a nice change from the typical Mexican dive, but the service ruined it for me. I have experienced poor to horrible service 4 of the 5 times I have eaten there. From the hostess to the bar tender to the servers, they were all rude, most of the time. I refuse to be treated that way by some young kid and will not be going there again.
- Pros: food, ambience
- Cons: rude service
Great big disappointment

The food was terrible, no vegetarian selections unless you like loads of cheese and pinto beans that are about five beans in soupy sauce. Everything was overpriced and the margaritas were sickenly sweet and very weak. The salsa was very bland and reminded me of spagetti sauce. My date had to send back his chicken enchiladas because he couldn't even eat them. He said the chicken tasted awful. My veggie fajitas consisted of greasy fried green peppers and a tiny dollop of processed guacemole with three tortillias for about nine bucks. They actually gave me a tiny cup of sauce with about five pinto beans on the bottom. The green peppers must have been fried in lard!
- Cons: Expensive, Lots of Lard, Bland
The worst!

This has to be the worst "mexican" restuarant I have ever been to. And I tried to give it another chance and also tried another location. I don't think I've ever received food there that is actually fully cooked. Every time I've ever been there someones (if not more than one person) meal has to be sent back because it's not right or not what they ordered. The service is horrible!!! The first time we went we waited at least 30 minutes for our drinks (and that was AFTER waiting for the waitress to to even come to our table). We even spoke to a manager on one occasion, but he was rude as well. I will never go back to this place again!
- Pros: none
- Cons: food, service
A nice change from the usual dive.

I always thought good mexican food could only be found at little dive restaurants. Hacienda has proved that is not case. The margaritas and spicy green chile are excellent. Everthing was very fresh (including gaucamole). I really enjoyed the enchilidas and chili rellenos (crunchy, how I like them). Service was great, which you usually don't get in the small neighborhood spots.
- Pros: Nice Bar, good parking, comfortable
Run of the mill mex food
by view88 at Citysearch
The food tastes and is prepared much like a chain restaurant. Nothing special, nothing wrong, but rather your general, plain Mex food. If in Denver, go to a non-chain restaurant in the center city or NW Denver.
- Pros: clean, non smoking area, fresh food
- Cons: bland, chain food
A family favorite!

Hacienda is one of the few restaurants we all love to visit! Sometimes you do have to wait for a table on a busy weekend, but that's the case at most popular restaurants. The margaritas are great, especially the frozen ones! Fresh lime juice is used - no bottled sugared-up sweet mix. And nothing beats a freshly-made tortilla. The kids menu is a nice change from most subarban fare - no chicken nuggets and burgers!
My favorite dish - Admiral Guzman's shrimp enchildas
- Pros: chips, margs, beans
- Cons: potential long wait, odd parking lot
