Great sushi, craptastic service
by shadowfang
The food was amazing, but our service was horrible. The waitress took my glass of water and instead of refilling it, she sat down and had lunch with the rest of the employees. Once they finished their meal, which was about 20 minutes after she was going to refill my drink, a different waitress came to check on us and i told him about the lack of service. Our waitress failed to apologize and brought us the check. I am big on customer service and won't be back
- Pros: Great sushi
- Cons: terrible service
Yummy goodness!
by shellbell27
I go to Osaka Sushi often and I love it. The tempura is so good and the service is always fast and polite. They have a large variety. So yummy!!!!
- Pros: Easy parking
Bad service, bad food
by jazzandsushi
This restaurant used to be good but when we went tonight it was horrible. The sushi tasted "old" and the pieces were tiny. To top it off, the service was miserable. They only brought us half the food and made us feel bad for actually asking where the rest of the order was. We had to beg to get the bill. We will not be going there again.
- Pros: Good parking
- Cons: Bad food, bad service and staff smoking out back
Great sushi, friendly staff!!
by stacylionel
My boyfriend and I love sushi and enjoy trying new restaurants. We loved Osaka! The fish was really fresh! We have been to Sushi Den, which is also very good, but we think Osaka is better. We didn't have to wait to be seated like at Sushi Den. The sushi was amazing! Very tastey. More sushi to choose from than Sushi Den. The staff was very nice too. She helped us make our choices and all were very good!! YUMMY!!!!!!
- Pros: Fresh fish, friendly staff
- Cons: I can't think of any.
The Spanish Mackerel is sinful!
by bananny
I live just a few blocks from Osaka, so I've dined there multiple times. Every single time I've been there it has been consistently fabulous! The staff & the service deserve an A+! One of my favorite cuts of sushi is Spanish Mackerel. EVERY time I've been to Osaka the Spanish Mackerel has been outstanding. Not to take away from the rest of the menu, every cut of fish & every roll I have put in my mouth at this restaurant has been ridiculously good tasting ;) Great sake, relaxing atmosphere, outdoor patio, plenty of parking. I highly recommend a trip to Osaka.
- Pros: Great service, wonderful food, highly recommended.
- Cons: I can't think of any.
good but overpriced
by jackg7
I would give them 2 stars but the sushi was good. Service avg, happy hour has drink specials only, sushi is regular price. The meal was good but overpriced. atmosphere - too warm with fans blowing everywhere (no a/c, or at least not turned on), and oh yeah, it was overpriced.
- Pros: decent food
- Cons: overpriced
Much Better Choices for Sushi Around!
by kjazz
I live near Osaka Sushi, so it was a logical place to go for a sushi fix. I have never before had such poor sushi. The tuna was not only tasteless, but it had a horrible "membrane" all throughout it. I simply was not fresh or prepared properly. My wife and I had to chew and "pick it out of our mouth's". Disgusting! To top it off, I contacted the restaurant after this experience, and received no response whatsoever! Our one prior visit had no such negativity, but my advice is "caveat emptor" (buyer beware)!
Friendly Staff, Excellent Sushi Chefs, Moderately Priced
by suzieq95
When I want a quiet and calm night with great sushi, I skip the trendy spots and head straight to Osaka. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the sushi is divine.
- Pros: Great food, service and quiet atmosphere
- Cons: Not a place for you if you're into trendy places.
Descent, but lacks variety in rolls
by rainbow9
Stopped by for lunch and was surprised at how little they had on the menu in way of rolls. The rolls I had tasted good, but I won't be returning.
- Pros: convenient location, nice decor, descent sushi
- Cons: limited menu, prices
Best Personal Service and Freshest Sushi in Town
by northliner
The Freshest fish and best selection by far of any sushi bar in town. Mr. Kwon brings in his selections from Hawaii and Austrailia, Seattle and Japan. Outstanding Yellowtail collars! I highly recommend giving them a try.
- Pros: Variety and Freshness
- Cons: Nothing spectacular in decor
