If you want to know what kind of food Jack Colten probably ate while he lived in Colombia, this is the restaurant for you.

The Cordobas (he from Colombia and she from Venezuela) opened this restaurant as a retirement venture. It is a modest restaurant that makes no attempt to fuse or modernize Latin American food with any other type. Instead, they provide real authentic Colombian and Venezuela cooking.

The empandas paisas (sp?) appetizer, wraps beef and potatoes and spices in a masa flour pastry and deep fries it. The 4 you receive in an order are probably enough for the entire meal.

I had the mojalla frita (fired tilapia). Served with fried plantains and tubers (better than french fries). Very good, but watch the bones.

Very moderately priced. Located in a strip mall on Colfax, the ambience is not great - but the food is.
