Great Hotel

Friendly, helpful staff. Very nice hotel. Better-than-average continental breakfast. A couple of things are rundown (juice machine leaks, etc.), but, for the price, this is the best bargain in town! We will definitely stay there again.

The Scene
This hotel is close to I-70 and within easy driving distance of all Denver attractions. Downtown is just 10 minutes away, and the Denver International Airport is within 30. It is favored by business travelers and vacationing families.

The Details
The 144 rooms each have a king or two double beds and lots of standard amenities: coffee makers, iron and ironing boards, phones with voice mail and data ports, and cable TV with Showtime. Complimentary copies of local newspapers are available in the lobby. Room service is offered from La Mariposa Restaurant, a traditional Mexican restaurant. There is no charge for kids under 18 sharing a room with their parents; little ones can often be found in the outdoor heated pool, which is open seasonally.

First impressions are usually everything, and Guesthouse Hotel Denver Stapleton doesn't make a grand first one. However, during the course of my stay, I became more and more impressed. The hotel has good rates for the area, a small workout room and laundry room, and decent rooms, though you can tell the hotel is older and well-used. However, the hotel offers a GREAT breakfast in the mornings, and the staff is helpful and efficient in person (though I didn't find the same to be true on the phone). And the location is great--right across from a major shopping area with EVERYTHING!

PROS: location, service-oriented staff, breakfast

Great Stay

I came to the Guesthouse for a business trip and I must say it is a great hotel, What makes it special is the people. Great friendly staff! The breakfast was more than I could ask for, The full waffle bar is great! I will make this my Denver Hotel when visiting! And Gussy the Guesthouse Parrot is Great fun during check in, CHeck out or just to stop and say HI
