I, too, followed Robert to Metafolics and really like this salon. Great, friendly staff and nice energy in the place. I'm new to Bumble & Bumble products and thought they wouldn't work with my hair, but they do and I'm hooked. Robert has given me myriad great cuts over the years and continues to do so at his new home, Metafolics. My hair is not easy to cut as it is fine, thin and fly-away, but he always manages to give me a current and cute yet age-appropriate cut. Robert is outgoing and always take the time to listen to what I want and then politely guides me back to what would actually work for my hair type and shape of face.

Pros: Staff, products, ambiance

Cons: Parking

My first impression at Metafolics was that it was lacking in one thing: pretentiousness. THANK HEAVENS. They have a very knowledgeable, accommodating and courteous staff - and a very clean and contemporary atmosphere. Robert is a new comer to Metafolics, so when he went there, I followed! He has been cutting my hair for 8 years now, and I couldn't be happier. I have very fine hair, and he understands how to work with it. Robert has given me darling cut after darling cut - and it never fails to get noticed. For my wedding, Robert did my hair and two other girls' hair in my bridal party, with beautiful results. Robert listens to the client intently, has great suggestions and methods to give you the cut that flatters you most. If that wasn't enough, Robert also does massage! He's fantastic!

Pros: Parking, Unpretentious staff, Excellent hair artists, great products

Cons: None I can think of!

I originally gave a great review for Kent, but after consecutive cuts he was never consistent and my hair kept getting cut into a wedge/pyramid shape. Since I liked the salon and the conveniece I saw Colleen the next time so she would fix what Kent did. All Colleen did was make the cut worse, cutting the layers I hated the same way but much shorter-making it look like I have 2 haircuts. She gave me layers on top that are in the shape of a much more drastic pyramid. The layers dont blend and there is no movement at all. The natural waves in my hair unravel because it is not cut *with* the wave, but against it. Both stylists had the nerve to tell me it was the way I was styling it. I find that insulting and totally denying any responsibility for their work. I know my hair, and have had some great haircuts in the past that made my hair look great w/little effort. . Bottom line-don't believe the hype that they are a "curly hair salon", They give cookie cutter haircuts assuming everyones hair is the same when its not. Now I have to go to get it fixed somewhere else. It was a waste of money and I wont step foot in there again. The one star is for the fact that everyone who works there is friendly and they arent pretentious. But I am reaaly paying for my hair to look good. They need better skills.

Heather at Metafolics cut my hair and I highly recomend her. I have extremely long and thick hair, and have always found myself stuck with a haircut I didn't really like, and always in a ponytail. Heather actually listened to what I wanted and discussed a plan for my hair with me. Having long hair, I'm always afraid that the stylist will cut off more than I want. Not only was she really gentle with the length, she layered it in a much better way than I've ever had it, a way that makes me feel that I actually have a beautiful and volumized style, rather than just long hair. A STYLE!! FINALLY!! She also showed me some great tricks and products that have saved me A TON of time in the morning. The salon is really friendly and pretty too, and the products smell great!

I did a lot of searching for the right stylist and found Metafolics on the curly hair website. I was impressed the first time I got my hair cut with Kent. I have wavy hair and not many stylists know how to cut my hair correctly, the way I want it. Kent listens to what I want and never cuts too much off, cuz I keep my hair long. Its a hip salon that is totally unpretentious. The people that work there are skilled at what they do and they are respectful to their clients. Of all the salons I have ever been to, this one is the best. However, I wasn't blown away by the highlights I got bu another stylist, and they were pricey. But I only go for haircuts now.

I think this salon is known for their curly haircutting. I've heard of them more than once. These people are the real deal. Kent cut my hair. I'm not sure if I like him more for the way I look or the way he made me feel? He totally listened and also talked to me about changing what I have for my future style . Even though I'm a few cuts away from where I need to be, he fixed my botched up hair cut. It's starting to lay more normal again and I dont have the pyrimaid hair cut us curly heads have all had. I consulted with Charissa for color. Kent doesnt do color. We'll see..... Give this guy a call. Short wait to get in, but worth it....

I just moved into a building in the golden triangle, and was introduced to Metafolics with a "welcome packet" coupon. I was able to get in faily quickly to see Kent and Jackie. I was surprized to see 2 different stylists for my cut and color but it worked out great! Jackie took extra time to talk to me about my different choices and made me feel so comfortable. the color was perfect. Kent also took the time to listen and I left with volume in my fine hair for the first time ever.... This salon is the highend we all look for with out the snobby attitude we've all experienced.

Pros: customer service, knowledgeable, Bumble and bumble

Tony Wilson at Metafolics is excellent! He cuts hair masterfully - best cuts I have ever had. He gets the haircolor exactly right and doesn't dry out my hair.

Pros: Easy Parking
