This was my second trip to A New Spirit. My first was a year ago, and it was very nice, so I had high expectations going in. I made an appointment for my mother and I at 2 pm on a Saturday. My mother got there at 1:30, and was ushered to the waiting room. When I got there at 2, we were both given the paperwork to fill out (she sat there for a half hour being completely ignored, and was not given any paperwork). We filled it out, and were ignored until 2:45, when we were taken back to the float tanks. We given directions (take a shower, here's how you get in, etc) and then left to our own devices. We followed directions, and, about 15 minutes after I got in, I was told our "hour" was up. When I complained, I was told that the room was only booked for 1 hour, so we couldn't stay any longer ("I should have got on you when you were in the shower" I was told - I can assure you we did NOT spend 45 minutes in the shower!). Then my mother went to get a massage, and I got a facial. THAT part was very nice. But after my facial, we were supposed to switch places. Almost immediately, my mother got in to get her facial. But it took 40 minutes for the person who was supposed to do my massage to appear (I sat, completely ignored, in the waiting area)! By this time (5 pm) I had had enough, and didn't want to start a massage. When I told the person at the front desk, she argued with me that I should have expected to stay there until 6 anyways. At no point did she apologize for making me wait for 40 minutes with no explanation. I had to ARGUE that I shouldn't have to pay for the massage I no longer wanted!!! I do NOT recommend this place. The front desk staff are rude, inexperienced, and unorganized. I am highly disappointed.

Pros: the facial was great

Cons: front desk staff
