I love this place. I've been to Suzi's numerous times with different folks; the servers are always friendly. I sat at the bar with a friend once and the bartender took great care of us - even double checked that we were being picked up after a couple of drinks. Service can be slow as the place gets SUUUUPER crowded, especially on weekends. I've had to leave there on one occassion because I was with a group of five and we weren't able to get a seat. No big deal as far as I was concerned since every other time I've been there has been enough of a good time to make up for it. Be prepared to wait for a seat or get there early enough that you can snag a table. It is a pretty good idea to have a backup plan for the night just in case you cannot get in. I only get tiki drinks from this place (they are AWESOME) so I cannot say much about their beer or wine list. I've enjoyed the food a great deal every time. I've had pizza there twice and it was great both times, no complaints. I think the experience you have here really depends on what you are expecting. Go with your friends so that you can make it your evening, don't expect speedy service because it won't happen. As far as I'm concerned it's a decent tradeoff.
Pros: Great tiki drinks
Cons: Crowded, can be hard to get a table sometimes

I thought this was one of the 'greatest places/dives to dine at in mpls', but perhaps I am wrong? I didn't read any of these reviews ahead of time, and kinda wish I had! Went there with 4 other friends on Saturday at 530pm. No reservations taken--ok, so we found a seat really quickly-but felt like vultures just ready to pounce when folks got up from the table, ordered within a reasonable amount of time-for apps, drinks were strong, we ate apps and server was not to be found for ordering meal-took awhile to find her. After getting ahold of server for pizza. $20 bucks for a large-eh, it was OK, but not the greatest, or even rated average in my book-I'd take a large pizza at Broadway or Sammys anyday! . We had mexi rolls, cheese curds (not that great), and popcorn chicken for apps. Had to park up in residential area, restaurant must be next to a car fix place-as loud bass from car the whole time, dogs are now allowed in eating places (I'd rather that-than little kids running rampant). Service was my main complaint--took a long time between ordering and getting food, and then getting check, etc...Advice: if you want to go there--eat before hand and just go for people watching, or I bet by the time you are hungry..your meal will be done!
Pros: people watching, funny menu, ambiance, different 'bar food'-like pickle roll ups, good patio-large area.
Cons: parking, high priced drinks, service takes a long time, serves state fair like food for higher $$, first come first serve seating

I don't care if last weekend was Art-A-Whirl, I don't expect to wait thirty minutes for MY FIRST DRINK and two hours for a pizza that WASN"T WHAT I ORDERED!!!! If Psycho Suzie's is so great why don't they get a better staff that can bring me my drinks and food without me having to flag them down and ask where they are? The patio is great to look at but that's where any greatness ends.
Pros: the patio
Cons: the service

Don't know what planet the last two reviewers are from but DUHHHHH!!! Obviously Psycho Suzi's is going to be VERY busy on weekends and last weekend was the Art-a-whirl in NE. There is a reason the place is busy. My advice- try it on a weeknight... Lighten up already! Okay?
Pros: Great food.
Cons: No Reservations and insanely busy on the weekends.

We went to Psycho Suzi's on a Saturday night and the service was so slow it was almost comical. Everything came out in 20-30 minute intervals, including our silverware. First we got an appetizer, then about 20 minutes later another appetizer THEN the silverware and napkins. Then our drinks. The waitress came by and asked if we wanted our check, but we had ordered a pizza. Whoops. So about 30 minutes later we got our pizza. So if you go plan to make an evening of it I guess. The appetizers were good. The artichoke dip was nice and spicy. The buffalo wings were as good as anyplace I have gotten them. We got a BBQ pizza which wasn't all that great. I wouldn't get that again. We had several rum "tiki" drinks which were strong, but good. I guess go for a few goofy appetizers and drinks and expect to wait. I would not go there expecting a good meal. It is more of a destination outing, like taking out of town friends to see the silliness. I wouldn't make it a place I would frequent.
Pros: Interesting place to "see"
Cons: Pizza, service

I went there with my son and husband because we had heard about it on a television show. We had a pizza and cheese curds which was good however the staff was young and did not care if we sat forever or if we never even ate there. The staff was more interested in talking about the night before get togethers. The waitress charged us for drinks that we did not even order and then she kept on leaving the table without allowing me to pay her. I finally went up to the bar and tried to pay but the staff there denied me service and told me I had to wait for my waitress. One actually called me a name and her facial expressions were awful. Although the food was good I will not go there again. I promise to share this with others. My father is a chef and I plan to tell all of his work associates to spread it around.
Pros: Pizza
Cons: Service

We went on a Thursday night with a large group of 7 and didn't have to wait at all. Service was great. Super atmosphere. Everyone was happy with their food. The Red Rockets, Mexican Eggrolls, and Artichoke Dip were out of this world. The drinks were very strong. Pizza was average. Would definitely recommend checking out Psycho Suzis if you are in the Cities
Pros: Atmosphere, Price, Drinks, Appetizers
Cons: Pizza was a little disappointing (not bad though)

My wife and I were up from Chicago and got there around 7:30pm on Saturday night. They don't take names, and there was a wait, but most people were lining up and waiting in an orderly fashion. When it was our turn to take the next open table, though, some trixie who had just gotten there tried to steal it. We prevailed, but that was the only drawback that the potential for that sort of confrontation exists. Now on to the good stuff. We got our table after waiting about 20 minutes. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, and in no time we were perusing the menu while enjoying incredibly good (and strong) drinks. We ordered deep dish pizza and were very happy with our choice. The sauce had a nice, spicy kick to it and a unique flavor. The crust was decent, but I have had better. The toppings were generous and good. While we munched on the pizza we enjoyed trying a couple different drinks and just people watching and taking in the atmosphere. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the Cities, and would readily recommend Psycho Suzis as a unique, fun place with great pizza and drinks.
Pros: Killer deep dish, great rum drinks
Cons: They don't take names and manage the seating of patrons when there's a wait

I went to Psycho Suz's the other night because of all the great things I had heard about the joint. Let me tell you, I will never be back. First, they wouldn't let me sit in the only open booth because I only had three people with me, they said I needed five. Instead, I had to wait and wait for a table even though the booth sat empty the entire time. When I finally got seated my waitress knew nothing. I had several questions about the beer list and food and she couldn't answer anything. As far as the food, the cheese curds were great but when we finally got our pizza it was burnt. I think this place is over rated and I will not be back.
Pros: cheese curds
Cons: burnt pizza
