My Favorite Restaurant
by walker22 at Citysearch
Yak and Yeti is my favorite restaurant, and not just for Indian Food. They have fantastic service, delicious food, and the place is CLEAN and cozy. My favorite dish is the Chicken Tikka Masala. Can't wait to go back!!
Best Indian food in town!

Firstly, there are two Yak and Yetis. Both excellent, however we feel this one is still better than their sister restaurant on 58th avenue.
Second, you can eat off the menu or the buffet. Both are awesome, you cannot find a better Indian buffet anywhere, but the ordering off the menu far outshines their buffet! It truly is the best Indian food in town if you go that route. The service is incredibly friendly. They care. Bottom line.
We come in often with our kids and one time brought a group of friends in who all live downtown and only eat at the nicer places there and in cherry creek. They were all very impressed. Even moreso when the owners started bringing out many other items we did not order for us to sample. They have the standard Naan which is awesome and comes free. But they also have a variety of flavors that will amaze you! Try them all!
Everything is full flavored here. No skimping on seasoning and flavors. Great variety in the buffet and again... ordering off the menu... Wow.
We took our kids to Bombay Clay oven in Cherry Creek. They thought it was no where near comparable to Yak and Yeti. And they were right! We were shocked!
Not the fanciest, but the tastiest!
- Pros: Best in town
- Cons: not the fanciest of joints
Best Indian Buffet
by prokit at Citysearch
I have frequented this restaurant for years now. My only disappointment is that I wish I could go more often. Very vegetarian friendly. The service staff is genuine and pleasant. My favorites are the korma and masala dishes, especially the sweet potato masala. Recently, unfortunately, I felt judged by some of the management as my dinner guest has changed due to an ended relationship. I felt that they thought I was some sort of floozy for this, as if my restaurant should care about my life choices. Makes me uncomfortable, but the food is good.
- Pros: Vegetarian friendly and great care in service
- Cons: Pricy for my budget
Delicious buffet, great selection and service
by michaelpthompson at Citysearch
Love this restaurant almost as much as the sister Yak and Yeti in Arvada. It doesn't have the same pub atmosphere and handmade beers, but the food is oustanding, and the hospitality of the staff is always overwhelming. I've tried the buffet several times and there's always too much to choose from, but I've never had a bad dish or less than tasty morsel. It's right off Sheridan, just south of the Westminster Mall. Come on in.
- Pros: Wonderful, healthy food, great service
- Cons: A tad on the expensive side, but worth it.
Suprised by the negative reviews, this is the best buffet i've had in all of Colorado!

I have to say i'm shocked and wonder where the people eat who don't like this buffet. It has by far the BIGGEST selection i've ever seen for North Indian cuisine (and they even Sambar for South Indian food lovers).
While there are a couple of meat dishes (usually tandoori chicken and curry chicken of some sort), this buffet is predominantly veggie, so if you want more meat i would recommend going elsewhere, but if you love vegetable curries, this is THE place!
They even have sweet potato curries, zucchini, broccoli dishes, carrot pudding, korma, two kinds of rice, etc. in addition to favorites like aloo gobi, dal, the sambar and saag paneer. Despite being a big eater, I never even have room to sample everything, the buffet is so vast!
The service is friendly and the food is great every time, and the value is superb. It is definitely worth a try!
- Pros: Huge selection, convenient location, tasty food!
- Cons: none!
Poor quality and taste...Make the drive to downtown Denver for good Indian cuisine
by molly_b_denum at Citysearch
I ate at the dinner buffet and found both the selection and quality of the meats to be sub-standard. I found an entire chicken bone in my food, while my husband actually bit into a number of smaller bones (both were dishes where bones should have been absent). In addition, dishes that should have only contained chicken, also had beef, and at times, an occasional shrimp mixed in. Given the overall lack of apparent time and care spent preparing the buffet, I would recommend visiting one of the Indian restuarants in downtown Denver. I would not return to this restaurant even if the food was free.
- Cons: poor quality ingredients, lack of care making dishes
Our Favorite Restaurant
by danelle62 at Citysearch
My husband and I go out to dinner at least once a week and every 5-6 weeks, we go to Yak and Yeti, it's our favorite place. They offer a dinner buffet (most Indian restaurants only offer a lunch buffet) and it is a large buffet at that.
The service is stellar, and the staff is very friendly.
Their coffee is to die for - save room for it at the end of your meal!
- Pros: Friendly attentive staff, large dinner buffet
- Cons: Their special drinks are wonderful but expensive
So good!!!

I had not had this type of food before so when I wanted to try it I wanted to go to a buffett so I could get a little taste of everything. It was so good! It's a great place for someone who doesn't like a meat, but there is also plenty of meat for people that do. I've tried places offering the same type of food and it does not compare. It is truely delicious food. I highly recommend it. You'll go back!
- Pros: Great Food
- Cons: a little expensive but worth it
Love it!!!!!!!

I have been going here for around 2 years, and in that time it has changed for the better. The food is fantastic. The lunch buffet is the best deal and there is a lot of variety. I always go there with friends and family and it has a very inviting atmosphere. Sometimes the service is a bit slow but the food makes up for that.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: Slow service
I Love this place!

The staff is friendly, and the food is great! I've eaten at quite a few Indian restaurants, and this is one of the best i've tried! The lunch buffet is the best deal, but you get large portions when you order off of the dinner menu as well.
