Scarred For Life Tattoos

Kris at Scarred for Life was fantastic! This was my fourth tattoo and by far the most pleasant experience. He made it work for my budget and was extremely professional and pleasant. I've had experiences in the past where guys take advantange of having a girl topless or something, but Kris was not like that at all. I've also had experiences where I barely speak two words to the person giving the tattoo, but Kris was very personable and was always asking me how I felt and explaining to me what was going on. He was willing to stay late and finish me up and was not like other egotistical tattoo artists who act like they walk on water! I was anxious and eager to get my work done as I had spent weeks messing with some other awful place in Boulder (which I will refrain from mentioning by name). Kris made it happen and I was grateful that my awful experience elsewhere led me to this wonderful business!

Pros: reasonably priced, efficient, PROFESSIONAL

Cons: NONE!

Somebody asked me before I went in, "how long have you been thinking about getting a tattoo?". I thought a moment ..... 46 years. Since my Navy days, I couldnt find a good reason to get an "out of the book" tattoo. I decided to look for someone to take my idea, turn it into art and "ink" me. I found SFL here in CitySearch pages and after a brief interview with them, I was very comfortable. I went in looking for the Master, Billy, who has a studio full of awards for his work. But instead ended up talking with Duces, a talented newcomer to SFL. Duces took my idea and spent about an hour drawing the design. When I returned, we made a few simple adjustments and two hours later I had the perfect Valentines Day gift to my wife. A beautiful heart adorned with native American feathers and beads with my wifes name apart of it. I know.... a Valentines gift ??? She loves it ! Today its a little bruised but just the fact that it looks so good ... I have no discomfort at all. If its you're first or you're 50th tat....... try these guys. Thanks SFL !

Pros: Clean, comfortable and Friendly

Cons: No dancing girls.

I called Scarred for life Tattoo, I think the guy that answered the phone was named Brian. Anyhow, the first impression he left me with was comforting. Ive been interested in another tattoo for a couple of years now, but each time I go into a place, with a pocket full of cash money, I am turned away by condesending attitudes. NO, YOU ARE NOT GOD! But, this was different. I was greated with friendly energy, and a pretty dog. The artist who worked with me, Kris, was open from the beggining to what I presented to him. The horible drawing I brought in didn't throw him off a bit. He actually worked with me, patiently working out the kinks of the simple concept I brought to him and knew exactly what I was going for. Then he started the real work. Kris is an amazing artist with a great outlook on the industry and life in general. I thouroughly enjoyed the experience. All in all, Kris put on a hell of a show, and as long as I am in CO, Scarred for life has a client. Thanks Guys!!!

Pros: Clean, friendly, comfortable setting, full of talent. Definently pros.

Cons: No, I don't think they were convicts

Kris did such an amazing job on my tattoos on my shoulders and was really nice about everything the whole time, trying to make the experience as pleasant and pain-free as possible. He was so cool and gave me such a great price on my ink that I gave him a huge tip and felt guilty for not being able to give more!! Definitely go here for all tattoos if you live in Boulder, Denver, Greeley, wherever in Colorado! A+++++++

Kris did the most excellent job on my tat. Just letters and numbers but every line and corner is perfect. Everyone that has seen my tat here in Nebraska has said that it is the best they have ever seen. Thanks Kris!!!

I went to Kris at Scarred for Life and although I was very nervous at the thought of getting my first tat, Kris was so very pleasant and made the whole experience wonderful. My tat is very details and required 2 sittings, I go back for color this weekend. Kris did such a great job from the pictures I gave him, it looks better than I could have ever imagined and I can't wait for the color!

I got all of my tattoos at Scarred For Life, two Chinese symbols and one very large Tribal tattoo. They are all great. The prices were very fair and the staff is very patient and very talented. When I selected my first two tattoos Chris was very helpful. He made sure I was happy with my selections and gave me advice on what would look good in the places I wanted them. I'm very happy with the work. When I got my tribal tattoo, Billy, the owner, was very good at visualizing what I was saying. He was very patient. The tribal tattoo was custom and Billy went above and beyond the call of duty. He was happy to redraw my ideas and point me in the right direction without being pushy. I couldn't be more happy with my my tattoos. I can't give them a high enough ratting.

Pros: Talented Staff, Great Prices, Great Atmosphere

Cons: Limited Parking

This studio is full of some of the most talented artists around. Go and see for yourself. The experience will be unforgetable. Comfortable for those, new to the experience, and professionally familiar to those who've been there before.

Pros: Quality, Friendly, Great hours
