Great night....Great Sushi!!!
by shortybg
The location is excellent with the restaurant being next to Lowry and not downtown or anywhere extremely busy and the decor was also very trendy. The service was very prompt and attentive. The food was excellent; their Philadelphia rolls are to die for. Even though it was happy hour from 4 to 10 p.m. we still managed to hang out for three hours and our final bill was $150.00 however, every penny was worth it.
- Pros: Location, Atmosphere, Great customer servcice
- Cons: Parking
great sushi, so/so atmosphere

#1 great sushi (excellent - yellow tail, salmon, red snapper, cali roll [yes, I know that's not 'sushi']) - mackerel was a little dry, but still good, maguro was good, but not excellent). the chairs are a bit uncomfortable but for the sushi, the value was great, 1$/piece after 4:30pm. perfect place for students or people on a budget that love sushi. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.
- Pros: great sushi for a decent price
- Cons: atmosphere
Very poor.

We expected more after reading positive reviews, but the sushi was very poor here. The fish was not fresh and we could not even eat the tuna roll. No better than the packaged stuff you get at King Soopers. Try Sushi Sasa. That is excellent.
- Pros: Food was delivered.
- Cons: Poor quality
One of my favorites

I frequent Kassai with my family and typically have a great experience. The service isn't especially friendly but its sharp and efficient. The sushi is great, and I've tried a few good cooked dishes as well. The Dynamite is outstanding. Parking can be a little tough since Kassai is located in a strip mall with several other businesses, but its worth the trip.
- Pros: Quality sushi
- Cons: Parking can be a challenge
Good value, great sushi
by denverdelish
Kassai Sushi is an excellent value and the sushi is really fresh. The atmosphere is so-so - it's small and crowded and a bit pungent. I would recommend delivery if you live in the area. I've eaten Kassai Sushi at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed!
- Pros: good value, excellent fresh sushi
- Cons: small, crowded, smelly
Quality fish and an urban atmosphere served with a neighborhood welcome.

In Short
Brushed steel and Japanese images cover the walls, nicely complementing stainless-steel stools nestled up to the sushi bar. Though chic, this place doesn't have any attitude--it's all about neighborhood hospitality and quality. The sushi list includes 32 different rolls, several hand rolls and lots of a la carte choices. In addition to sushi, a long list of hot Japanese entrees includes giant noodle bowls, veggie tempura, salmon teriyaki and combination meals.
