Pretty Decent - Not Bad

I had the ribs. My wife had a steak. We also shared a basket of onion rings and had the ice cream cookie for dessert. While the food is good and service was friendly, the ribs were not the best I've eaten. Prices are in line with the "casual-upscale" type of restaurants. That means they're a little on the high side. Total bill for two adult entres, one kid's entre, an appetizer, dessert and 3 cokes: $49.00 + tip.

Goodness. Yep thats the word. Goodness. Service, food, atmosphere you name it and it is very Good. Had a daily special of Sloppy Joes with a side order of Ribs to share and it was all tasty! Had no room for the interesting desserts so maybe next time. I have to say their fries were some of the best I have had. Slightly seasoned perfectly crisp. MMMM. They were a surprise bonus. Price was not bad. Onion rings, 2 drinks, 2 specials and a side order of 6 ribs for a couple of cents under $20.00. Not bad. Fun decor and cozy fire. Very enjoyable.

The Hickory House by far has the most tender and delicious ribs I have ever had. However, if you are going the Hickory House you must be in the mood for Beef the menu is mainly Steak and Ribs.

These are truly the best ribs, so tender. All the sauces are so unique, it's hard to choose from. The combination plate, THEE very best. The price is also quite comfortable for what you get. Lots, and lots of food.

Great BBQ at great prices! My family and friends are regulars at this terrific restaurant! We love the ribs of course! We even buy the sauce and bring it home for days we don't want to go out!

I've eaten at Hickory House several times.
The ribs are excellent. The pulled pork - excellent. Onion rings - good.
Service - excellent.
Bathrooms - clean (if that's important to you). I think it says something about the management and the staff.
