Small bar - over priced! After reserving a table for 15-20 people got a 3 man table ($2,400 dollars later!) for new years... is this a joke! I am referring to the upstairs bar, which doesn’t even have its own bathroom. Speaking of which, a bar claiming to be upscale like this should have more than 2 stalls and a man jammed in there to turn the water on for you to wash your hands. I can’t wait till this place inevitably goes out of business!

Pros: hmm.... nothing

Stopped in for a pre party drink with my sisters bachlorette party and got tugged at by thugs the entire 13 mins we were there. Gross. Our server was rude and the crowd was WHACK.

Pros: Door guy was cute...but real rude

Cons: The crowd made me want to send my kids to private school....

When I drink I urinate alot... I think most people do, and the way that Monarch is designed, and the amount of people that always occupy the long thin corridor of Monarch means that the journey to the bathroom, which is located at the very back, usualy is the only thing I do the whole night... Pushing back and forth. Back and forth. Because by the time I get back to my table I gotta urinate again. Plus the people aint all that tight. Real superficial pretentious types. Music's alright if you only listen to top 20. Dance floor is way too small and has couches lining it... I've decided that unless Jessica Alba herself invites me to Monarch i'm never going again.

Pros: Nice watches everywhere if you're a pickpocket

Cons: Pretty much covered it, but drinks ain't that good either

Read an ad in Westword boasting the Exclusive Private Entrance. Doesn't that defeat the purpose? Having an ad in the Westword takes away from the Exclusiveness and Private? Hmmmmm....not only is it in an alley, its in a smelly alley. On the subject of smell. Monarck smells like vomitt. I remember in the summer thinking it was an issue but had hoped it would be fixed by Dec. Not the case. For a martini bar I was disappointed.

Pros: Good Location

Cons: Nothing Private or Exclusive about the venue

Monarck smells and the staff is rude. Everytime I go there is a fight. I would rather stay home. 24k advertises an exclusive, private enterance. How exclusive or private can it be if they advertise it in the westword?

Pros: Good dancing, crowded but good.

Cons: Thugs are always grabbing at me as I walk by.

Monarck reminds me of a hollywood night club. It feels like Teddy's at The Roosevelt. The staff there are beautiful and extremly nice. The bottle service is amazing and they bring out giant sparklers when I got a bottle of champagne. The prices are so much better then it is in LA. Everytime I go to Monarck I see gorgeous women everywhere!!! This is a place I love to go when I feel like having a hollywood night!

Pros: Beautiful people, great music, great staff, great drinks!

Cons: closes at 2am

I just recently moved to Denver and did not know where to go out, although I had seen Monarch on Real World and remember how much fun they seemed to be having. A couple of my girlfriends came into town and we went to Monarch on Thursday night and had a BLAST! The drinks were good, the door staff was friendly, management was assertive, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. We were having so much fun we decided to buy a bottle of champagne. Its hard to explain the presentation, its amazing! You would have to see it for yourself!!!! Highly recommened this club, have been there the last two Thursdays and Saturdays! I love it!

Pros: Ambience, Excellent Bottle Service, really fast bartenders, good dj/music

Cons: Gets a little crowded late, but if you are into that like most of Denver is, you will like it. Hint: Get there earlier and get a bottle!

I am yet to experience some of these bad qualities other members have written about Monarck. I have seen a change in staff and music the past couple times. The last show they had with Kid Dangerous was amazing, you can tell the crowd has changed and it was actually busy by 10pm! I don’t know what these other people are talking about; this is probably the best spot in Denver.

Pros: Good looking people, Great Music

Cons: long line without reservations

I have never gone to this place willingly beyong my first visit. My latest venture was due to a friend of a friend who was out with us who wanted to go dancing. I recommended a ton of other much more acceptable choices: Rock Bar, Crave, but she had to have hip hop...so we ended up there. I can't explain how much distain I hold for this place. The drinks are weak and you can get much tastier and creative martinis at double daughters down the street. I have NEVER heard decent music played here, the people are pretentious with no reason to be...basically filled with sorostitutes and fratdouches. I have yet to talk to someone there who actually had something interesting to say. ...lame lame lame.

Pros: Coming up blank

Cons: clientel, drinks, atmosphere, music, people that work there, etc etc etc

This is your typical trendy place in Denver where the business model is to attract boring products of society (aka tools) and manipulate them into spending as much money as possible. It's one of those places where all the tables have a card that reads "reserved" and the bouncers won't let you sit unless you get bottle service for $200 per bottle with tip. I went there on a Friday and it was full of pretentious 20 somethings who think they are chic. The DJ was horrible and could not match a beat to save his life. Overall, this place is a joke. Additionally, it seems as though EVERY positivie review on Citysearch about this place was likely written by a manager or owner of this place trying to pose as a customer. Just read them for yourself, they sound very fake. Hey fellow Denver people, you don't really like places like this, right? Can we please unite and boycott these crappy clubs/lounges, such as, but not limitied to Monarck, Mynt, Purple Martini, etc. so they will go out of business and we can finally get some better nightlife in Lodo?

Cons: wannabe chic, can't sit without bottle service, bad DJ,
