The family atmosphere, Ben our waiter was great. The knowledge of wines was impeccable I will be dining here again for sure. Cheers!
- Pros: Atmosphere, Food, artichoke appetizer
- Cons: Meal can take a little onger than normal but worth the wait!
Food should be more than good, it should be memorable... Job well done

My wife and I went on Valentine's Day to celebrate our 17th Anniversary as well as the Valentine's Day holiday. Sevice was excellent as was the small touches like helping arrange a florist for flowers for my wife and the Happy Anniversary wishes from the entire staff. The food was excellent, even if it was a special menu for the holiday. Both appetizers were excellent, although I preferred the flavor of the Kangaroo to the Ostrich. The salad was OK, dressing would have been too strong if not for the wonderful intermezzio provided afterwards to cleanse the palatte. The Phesant was nicely done, and the Colorado Lamb Chops were magnificant. We both went with the lighter cheese blintz's for dessert which were a near perfect ending to a great meal. The special and regular wine selection was nice. Good wines but not overly pretentious. And it goes a long way with me that the Chef came out to ensure the guests were enjoying their meals. My wife and I plan to come here more often.
Well done.
- Pros: Great food, excellent service
- Cons: Small place (it is a bistro in every sense) may seem loud and crowded to some on a busy day

I enjoy finding little-known restaurants for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. I am so glad I found the Sansone's Bistro page on CitySearch. The restaurant is small so thank you to those who recommended making reservations. Everyone in the restaurant was so friendly and took very good care of us. We could tell that there were a lot of repeat customers since the employees were calling them by name. I had a hard time choosing something from the menu since everything sounded so good. Robert Sansone, the owner/chef, came out in the dining area 3 times to thank us for choosing his restaurant and to make sure we were being taken care of to our satisfaction. Our souffle had "Happy Anniversary" on it and it was comp'ed.
There was nothing I could have said to improve on this visit. I have paid more money for less quality of food and service at other restaurants. I highly recommend you try Sansone's Bistro anytime and don't wait for special occasion.
- Pros: Food, Service
- Cons: none

This restaurant is owned by a married couple who are often caught bickering loudly to each other as well as directly to their employees in front of guests. While the food may taste decent, the sous chefs repeatedly smoke cigarettes and return to the kitchen without washing their hands as witnessed by a patron who parked the car in the back lot while observing this unsanitary action. It seems a "gemini" of restaurants, seemingly customer service-based as a priority, but quite the opposite if there on the wrong day. I'd take my palate elsewhere.
- Pros: Nightly specials
- Cons: The owners, employees
Response from this business

We would like to thank you for your candid observations when visiting our bistro. I would like to assure you first and most importantly that we take every care to insure the wholesomeness of all the products we serve. What the "patron" saw could have been incorrect. We have 1 handwashing station in the kitchen hidden behind the refrigerator when looking into the restaurant from the outside, along with several sanitizing stations on the line itself. In response to your review we did remind ALL of our staff the importance of sanitation repeatedly throughout service, but we can assure you they are all trained professionals with pride in the product they serve to our guests. As far as our little husband and wife team, you did mention the food was good and that comes from a very passionate and talented chef that puts quality in all his dishes. Sometimes that passion spills into the restaurant when you are balancing outstanding culinary flavors with the service needs of diners. Thank You!

Small but mighty!! Fantastic artichoke heart appetizer, MANY wines by the glass and everything is fresh and homemade. They have a varied menu, including veggie dishes. It's not a huge place, but has nice booths and a charming atmosphere. (They do take reservations.) One of my fave places.
- Pros: Fantastic food, great personal service
- Cons: None

This is a very special place. Start with the welome with Erica, the staff with Pam and Jessica and finish with Tom and Roberto the Chefs and you have one of the most delightful evening you will ever experience. Robetro is a master at combining flavors in his offerings. You need to try some of his creations, there are beyond discription. The Artichoke dip and the Veal Appetizer you must try. Most patriots do not like Liver and onions, but truly this is one of the finest creations in Denver. I believe his menu will offer me a variety of excellent chioces for night to come
Thanks Erica, Roberto and staff for and great job.
- Pros: Comfortable, romantic, friendly, great wine list, wonderful specials
- Cons: PArking

The best kept secret in Denver. Too many favorite dishes to name. Can honestly say I rotate between 6 different things I LOVE on the menu. How many restaurants can you say that about? How many restaurants have the chef/owner come out EVERY SINGLE TRIP to check on his customers. It is not the biggest nor most extravagant place/location but the food is of a quality that you won't find anywhere else. We go out to dinner twice a week and can tell you this place is our favorite. Recommend the clams casino and the artichokes French. You will have to go a few times to try all the favorites on the main menu. And if you ask my wife, the liver and onions really is the BEST you'll ever have!
Ruthless and his wife (we will be known by this online)
- Pros: The Chef! The Food!
- Cons: Location, small space (make reservations if you prefer a booth!)

waitress angry, not happy that we were there at 8:20pm, chef didn't say hi, no acknowledgment of "happy anniversary" to us, we felt as if we were not welcome at all, we will not go back or recomend to anyone. Spent over 100 bucks and feel like we walked out with our tails between our legs...no anniversary dessert offerd
- Pros: atmosphere and food
- Cons: waitress

Fabulous little Italian hole in the wall! We arrived on a Sat night and were greeted by the chef! We were seated promptly ? even without reservations ? which I would recommend. More popular since the last reviewers went! We didn?t get much of the ambiance since we were seated near the door but it was very cute and homey. (Did I mention to make reservations!). We were with another couple and were ready for some yummy Italian, and we were not disappointed! We started with the fried artichoke dish with a cream sauce that was to die for! Their wines were on sale ? well their previous year?s stock. That was a treat! Now that my palette is expanding I enjoy having some wine with dinner out! For dinner I went with the Eggplant Parm which was really really good! Sauce was excellent and since I come from an Italian household north of Boston ? good gravy is a sign of good food! The boys went with the Award Winning Snitzel. They both really liked it ? I took a taste and it was a bit too buttery for me! The last mean was the Veal Anjou which came with berries and bears and gorgonzola ? she liked it but would go with something else next time! Wait staff was excellent! When asked to assist with our choices she was honest and forthwith. My dilemma was pork medallions vs the eggplant and she said tonight was definitely a night for eggplant! It was nice to get good info when eating! I would definitely go back!
- Pros: Food, Service, Options
- Cons: Limited seating

I?d like to keep this little gem to myself, but that just wouldn?t be fair to Sansone?s. We went on a whim and were quite pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by the friendly waitstaff with fresh bread, hot from the oven. Things only got better. The artichoke appetizer was KILLER with a sauce so delicious, you?ll want to lick the plate. The Quail and Foie Gras salad was heavenly, with fresh raspberries, blueberries and quail cooked to perfection. The 7-bone(rack) veal melted in my mouth. Bottom line ? the wine list was excellent, the prices very reasonable, the service was fast, friendly and professional, and the food was absolutely wonderful. We can?t wait to go back! Tip ? they have an early bird special dinner.
- Pros: divine food, great wine list, lots of charm
- Cons: none
