Couldn't agree with the last 2 reviews more!

The last 2 reviews are spot on! I went to Johnnys on Mississippi last week and I know exactly who the reviewer was talking about. I stood at the counter for a few minutes waiting for service while the waitress was very busy and a very dirty and miserable looking person who I'm guessing was the manger mspencer was talking about made salads and didn't even glance my way to greet me. I've never seen anyone who looked so miserable but I guess that's understandable because if I was his age and still working in a pizzaria I'd probably hang myself. Next time I was craving pizza I decided to check out the location at 26th and Kipling. WHAT A DUMP! I ordered 2 slices to go and waited while the morons that were "working" texted on there phones. After 5 minutes I had my sub par slices and will never go back. Get rid of the manager at the store on Mississipi Johnny and we'll start coming back!
- Pros: Things used to be great. Prices are very reasonable.
- Cons: The new manager and the food and employees in north lakewood
Not so good in WheatRidge
by Patriotfan1 at Citysearch
Checked out the Johnnys location at 26th and Kipling, and was really hoping for a good slice of pie. Was greeted by 4 very loud teens who were too busy playing grabass to take an order, and when the young man with sweat shorts with his butt hanging out came over, he was clueless. Said the pizza would take 15 minutes and 45 minutes later a half cooked pie came to our table. My 9 year old enjoyed his two separate slices of pizza, but my pizza was not so great. Price was to expensive, 27 bucks for a medium pizza, 2 slices of pizza, and 3 cans of soda, and atrocious service. I dont think I will go back and I would advise you to make your own judgment on this establishment and just go in hoping for the worse and these guys will meet your expectations.
- Pros: Good size Pizzas and variety
- Cons: Dirty, immature staff, expensive, not a lot of flavor
BRING JOHNNY BACK!
by MSpencer at Citysearch
Johnny's used to be one of my favorite places in Lakewood. Things have changed so much since Johnny hasn't been around. They have a new manager and I think his name is Phil and he absolutely ruins the whole experience. He has a terrible attitude, is extremely rude to the customers and employees and always looks filthy and disgusting. I'm not sure if he only has one shirt but it looks like it's never been washed. It's a real shame that things had to happen this way. Come back Johnny or at least get a new manager who actually enjoys their job and makes us feel welcome instead of like we are an inconvenience to him.
- Pros: Calzones are pretty good.
- Cons: The new manager! Garlic knots were burned

A real slice of New York
by haleyjgrimm at Citysearch
Fugettaboutit - Johnny's serves up a real slice of the New York pie. I've been frequenting this place since it opened four years ago and still love it. It's the closest New York-style pizza I've found in the Mile High City
- Pros: The real deal on pizza
- Cons: No beer on the menu

We had dinner here a few nights ago. The pizza was great. The pie had a good balance of sauce and just the right amout of cheese. Oh, how could I forget. The knots were out of this world. John, thanks for the food. We will return!

Better than V's
by barcketbuster9 at Citysearch
I love this place. I take my family on the weekends, or have his pizza for the kid?s sleep-overs. We have never had a poorly cooked pie. Johnny is good for our community. It?s nice to have his resultant in the neighborhood. Give it a try.
- Pros: Johnny.
- Cons: small
