Friendliest service downtown
by dtchick
My friends and I went to eat at ESPN zone on the 16th street mall. When we left we saw the Purple Martini next door and decided to stop in for a drink. It was about 9pm and a little slow. We were greeted bt a friendly waitress who asked if we had been there before. We replied no and she recommended some of her favorite drinks to us. Within the hour the place got packed and a DJ came and started playing some great music. It was cool because the crowd was very diverse. All ages and colors. Our waitress asked if we wanted to sign up to get their weekley email about events and such and also gave us a $25 happy hour gift certificate for next time we come in. We felt very welcome there and have definitlg gone back since.
- Pros: Garage parking, friendly staff, good music
- Cons: small venue
Great Drinks, Great Service, Great Atmosphere.. A must go!
by KLASMITH
I went to Purple Martini this weekend and the atmosphere was so much fun to be in and the service was great! The bartenders blew fire and juggled fire bottles which was a great change compared to all of the other bars and nightclubs in Denver. This drinks were great and I had chicken quesadillas which were excellent! I highly recommend the Purple Martini!
- Pros: Parking, Service, Quality, Music
Very Cool!

The Purple has a great menu with variety, and drinks at a reasonable price along with fast and entertaining service. Want a night on the town with the boys? This is a great place to end up, the location is easy to find, the environment is laid-back. The people are diverse, the service is excellent, and the place is jumpin'.
- Pros: Good service, great prices, and fun atmosphere.

I have been here a few times and love the atmosphere. Whether you are just going to happy hour or a night out, this is always one of my favorites in that area.
ladies night
by Bellen1974
i was a regular at PM, DTC on thur ladies night (first time message)
In just a matter of weeks, PM, decided to change management and got rid of free martini night, and of course changed the music... i might as well be at PROOF listening to the oldies... lol. with the foggies..
i like the area, but come on , lets dance to some real dance music.. and of course get our free ladies martinis back..... so what it's thur.. let's party like its saturday
if wondering, i would order more then martinis, my friends, a group of sometime more than 6-7 women, we'd order shots, and other non-free items...all night long

Bad customer service.

My 2 friends and I had a bad experience at this bar. It started by us arriving at 7:45pm. The sign on the door said that it opened at 5:00pm (this was a Saturday evening). However, the doors were locked, and a employee told us that the bar didn't actually open until 8:00pm. We let him know that the sign said they opened at 5, but he ignored us. We decided to wait the 15 minutes. However, while we were waiting, they let a couple in by unlocking the door and then locking it right back. I am not sure if these folks were employees of the place, but they definitely weren't working that evening. They sat down and ordered drinks.
The drinks were overpriced, but we knew that going it. They were decent to drink, but nothing spectacular. What offended me next was that while I was drinking my second martini - I had only planned on having 2. I ordered a water. The waitress told me, however, that if I wanted a water, that I would have to purchase a bottle water because they didn't give free water after 9pm. When I asked why, she stated that the restaurant was losing too much money giving out water because people weren't drinking. I am sorry, but isn't it a responsible thing to do if you are driving after drinking. The restaurant should happily give water to patrons who are respnsible to wait before they drive home - or at the very least, to the designated drivers of a group!
To sum it up, I was very disappointed.
