Closed long ago - time for CitySearch to update their site. This place was only "kind" of related to Frank Bonnano's restaurants. He may have done some initial consulting but the place never took off and has been closed for some time.

Pros: none

Cons: it's kaput

Best Steak I've ever had!! AMAZING. Our entire table was raving - all 5 had steak. Terrific service - great atmosphere. There is a lot going on with the theater in the back & Milagros - makes it a fun & happening vibe. We had good, attentive, helpful service. I've also heard the burgers are wonderful - haven't tried myself. This is a great place to check out - really delicious food.

The food here was terrific. I have no food complaints. I actually thought the wedge salad was the best I ever had. The short ribs melted in my mouth! our service was terrific as well. So terrific that we were appalled at the manager for talking down to our server right in front of us. First of all, that is unprofessional, and unacceptable. Second of all, our server did NOTHING wrong or deserving of this behavior. Frank Bonnano, you should think twice about who you let represent your business! A real disappointment...

Pros: food, service

Cons: management

We enjoyed the hat-trick for New Years at Milagro, Harrys and the Backroom - all in one location. At Milagro we had their awesome signature margaritas and poblano and cheese empanadas. The atmosphere is casual and fun. Then we went next door to Harrys and had a nice glass of wine and the yellowfin tuna tartar which was outstanding. Harrys has a more classy feel to it without being pretentious. We rang in the New Year with FREE jazz in the Backroom. What I like the most about this trio is that the food is consistently really good. The owners are almost always on-sight and actively involved in all of the day-to-day operations. The staff obviously enjoy their work and their service and attention to detail really shows. This is where I take all of my out-of-town guests, because no matter what kind of mood we are in, we have a great time.

Pros: great atmosphere, excellent food

Cons: not any

When the bill came it had the name of the taco bar around the corner above it. They share kitchens. The service was lacking. Our waiter had a hard time being attentive. We had to ask for a drink. Ask to order. He would walk off in mid-sentence. It was weird. The owner or manager told us that next time we would need reservations. I'm not sure why since the restaurant was empty on a weekend. The menu is hard to choose from in the way that it all sounds so good. The food is not the highest quality when purchased and it show. The appetizer was okay (onion rings.) One of the rings was the actual onion peel deep fried with just cornmeal on it. The sauce was yummy though. We both had salads. The lettuce for the iceberg wedge was soggy. The ceasar dressing was from a jar. The little tomatoes were old. The deconstructed chicken pie was served uniquely. Only the chicken was obviously the chicken used in tacos. Plus, it was not fun to know we were paying $15 for the dish when it clearly had frozen veggies from a bag. Nobody cuts up veggies in perfect cubes like that. The steak was over cooked. The dessert menu was limited and a let down. There is hope for the restaurant. They are a long way from it. I doubt we will be back. For $75 I can think of three other restaurants on 17th alone to visit first.

Pros: If you live in the neighborhood it's a nice treat for wine. Parking is easy.

Cons: Service, food and price

As others have already said, this is a great neighborhood place. The food, service, and atmosphere are all very enjoyable and comparable to some of the best chop houses in LoDo. However, Harry's is about half the price, much more relaxing and not as "stuffy" as some other steakhouses. Our steaks were perfectly cooked, full of flavor and so delicious. I had the filet (med rare) and my girlfriend had the blackened ribeye (med), and both were cooked exactly how we ordered them. The wine list is small but encompassing and they are currently going through many changes, which was a little frustrating. The atmosphere is very laid-back yet romantic, and the jazz music they had playing was fitting and tasteful. The staff is very knowledgeable and on top of everything...Honestly, we never once had to ask for more water or had to refill our own wine glasses. The manager, Rob was very friendly and took much pride in his establishment. "If it's not right, we'll fix it" was his description of their overall attitude, which I found very appropriate and refreshing to hear. The only problem was, there was nothing wrong that needed fixing. Rob was also very generous and gave us a free desert (since it was my girlfriend's birthday), and that too was simply delicious. We were very pleased with our entire experience and would highly recommend Harry's to anyone who is looking for a romantic, yet relaxed evening. The steaks are moderately priced ($25ish) but there are also cheaper alternatives (burgers, pasta, chicken, etc). I believe Harry's Chop house will become a regular destination for us when we are looking for a good steak and a bottle of wine to celebrate our next event.

Pros: Great Steaks, service and atmosphere

Cons: a la carte, means no salad with entrees

Here's a place where you can celebrate your anniversary, as I just did, or walk in off the street for some pasta and gravy. Whatever your taste, Harry's has it. The staff is knowledgeable, yet relaxed enough to help you out with a wine pairing. Speaking of wines, very interesting list, generally low production but highly rated wines. You want to make a night out of it? Go no further, live jazz on most nights in the Back Room. Enjoy this newly discovered neighborhood treasure.

Pros: Good food, quality ingredients

Cons: Little to no parking.

Started off with the lobster ravioli with cream sauce: rich, creamy and flavorful. They brought out small, little soft white dinner rolls which were great to dip into the cream sauce! We had the filet with a side of mashed potatoes and corn succotash: an incredible combination of flavors and affordable at $24 including sides. We also had the ribeye which is normally comes in a far second behind the filet, but this ribeye was perfectly tender and had the most amazing flavor. Great atmosphere, small and cozy. Service was great, attentive, but not too much so. Wonderful first experience!

This was our first visit to Harry's Chop House and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is romantic with deep colors and low lights. The chilled soup and salads we tried were very good, but our pasta, beef and fish entre's were excellent. The menu selections are familiar basics paired with slightly trendy sides to suit just about anyone's taste and reasonable portions. Although we thought the service was just a little slow getting started, they became more attentive as the evening went on. The music selection was nice but the volume could have been just a bit lower for table talk. The quality and flavor of the food made it easy to overlook these few small items. We recommend this neighborhood gem as a fine place to take a date or a few friends for a great meal.

Pros: food, ambience

Cons: music a little too loud, parking

This is an overall wonderful local, original, establishment... Food is excellent (many choices and room for experimenting with different options - original concept in menu structure). A great place for gourmet delights and can be healthy depending on your choices in sides! The waitstaff is experienced, knowledgeable, and overall very warm and friendly - they remember the regulars which adds to the neighborhood feel. A wonderful alternative to downtown/LODO for a relaxing fun evening - I highly recommend Harry's!!!

Pros: good parking, great value, excellent service
