GREAT HAIR SALON

I have been going to Richard Amaro for about 10 years. It is the one thing I treat myself to and it is because of his unbelievable skill in color and cut. I have people telling me for years how great my hair looks and I have Richard to thank. He takes the time to listen and advise me even through all my idiosyncratic rantings (women and their hair!!!!). I love his new salon - it is a relaxing and calming spot. He is a true professional and a truly nice person.

Amazing!

I found this salon by reading customer reviews- I have been to many stylist in San Diego, Santa Fe and Denver - cherry creek. I have to say that Jay is by far the best. he didnt just jump in and cut my hair - he played with it, talked to me about my lifestyle and discussed what I wanted. Jay did a great job with my hair- I love my hair cut!

Best of all their prices were very reasonable.

I walked out of a chreey creek salon once with a $450 tab and didnt look half as good.

Great salon experience for curly hair

I needed a new, modern, edgy yet easy to care for style for my fine curly hair. I found the salon through an internet search and corresponded with jay via email and phone prior to my consultation. He spent over an hour doing a consultation to determine the best cut based on face shape, eye shape, lifestyle, hair texture, etc. He loved doing this and he is very good at it. He then cut and colored my hair and the line of color that he is used is the best!! My color didn't fade at all and it is so true to my natural color. I got a bunch of discounts for booking online, booking my next appt, etc. After a few days I was having trouble replicating the style at home. I called Jay and he had me come in for a "lesson". He spent an hour with me and didn't charge me a cent...wouldn't even take a tip. He is a gem. I urge you to check out this salon. Jay and Richard rock!

They know hair

I moved here from MN and needed to find a new hairstylist. After trying out B*ng (apparently city search thinks that's a bad word) salon, with less than impressive results, I did some more research and decided to try out One2One. I was extremely impressed at the attention Richard gave me when I first walked in to make an appt. He took the time to talk to me about what I wanted done and what ideas he had. I made an appt. for the next day with Jay and got 20% off as a first time customer. It's really cool that it's only the 2 of them there so it's not noisy or chaotic like some other salons can be. In the end, I absolutely loved the blond highlights Jay did (the most natural looking I've ever had) and the cut was great (blended the chop job I had from before). I would definitely recommend checking this place out. They really take the time to understand what you want and teach you some styling tips!

Best color & service

I have been fortunate to have Richard Armao as my stylist for over 10 years when I picked him out of the phone directory. I knew he was the right professional for me the very 1st day; he showed me a picture in the salon that exactly matched the hair style clipping I was clutching in my hand. I left feeling like a beautiful new me. Thus began my regular 5-week routine of color (lifting the basic mousey blond several shades), foil and cut/style. His customer service cannot be matched, and his expertise, especially with coloring, has been the source of so many compliments, especially the coveted "it looks SO natural". Richard is innately style conscious and he excels at "makeovers"; I always hope the person before me is in makeover mode because it is so fun to watch them change from a not-so-stylish "before" into their dream "after". Richard carries the higest quality natural hair products and, being a professional instructor, enjoys teaching his clients to use products and styling methods in the process of styling their own hair at home.

Outstanding Salon

Richard Armao has been cutting and coloring my hair for years and I have been getting compliments on it from complete strangers ever since. He possesses an artistic talent at a level which cannot be taught; it is an intricate part of his persona. His aptitude to create a fabulous look for each his clients attests to his broad knowledge of cutting techniques and coloring products as well as his positive interactions with his customers. Richard possesses exceptionally high intelligence combined with an outgoing personality. He truly cares about what his clients want and puts forth extreme effort to achieve that outcome.

Salon, art and great hair!!!

I just recently got a cut from the new stylist Jay at one2one! I had a great time, the atmosphere and art was great. But the real issue is my hair, I'm very picky about who I see, but I've found my future spot. Jay knows what he's doing, (trained in Chicago) and rather than just giving me exactly what I wanted in a picture, he was able to adapt it to what my hair can actually do. I will continue to see Jay and am sending many friends and family their way.

Also I can't wait to go to their seasonal art show!

Great salon

As most of us who invest in quality hair coloring are---I am very picky about the color of each strand of my hair. I appreciated how Jay really listened to what I wanted and then was able to actually make it happen. I have fine, very straight and difficult to manage hair. I thought I'd heard every hair management tip for my hair type there was; yet I left with some new suggestions that made a difference. I enjoyed the contemporary decor of the salon, which was modern and clean, but not harsh as modern decor can sometimes be. The environment is friendly and the salon owner is very approachable. The art is fun and a nice bonus. Also to note, I didn't feel like they were out to gouge me price wise. I received a 20% discount as a first time customer and a trim for the price of a bangs cut

Found my salon

After searching high and low for a salon that offers a true one on one experience I finally found this great little place in Cherry Hills Village. If you are really looking for someone who will not just throw you in a chair and cut your hair but will actually "listen" to you and talk about your hair, your style and your long term goals for your hair then this is the place to go. My hair has never looked better and I love the natural products they use such as Euphora and Pureology. Great find!
