I've gotten spoiled having La Fogata so close to where I live, because now I absolutely can't stand to eat Mexican anywhere else -- it's always a disappointment compared to La Fogata. The service is on par with a 5-star restaurant, yet I continue to be shocked by the low prices. This place seems like it should be an expensive restaurant downtown. I almost want to tell them that they should raise their prices a little (but I won't). Scott is the owner and he will usually be your host, as well, and he practically lets you choose your table. He is proud of the fact that all of their food is prepared right there at the restaurant (guacamole made from real avocados, not powder, and no frozen pre-cooked meat allowed!). Everything on the menu is exceptional, from the beef and been burritos to the shrimp fajitas, and if you're having a hard time choosing your server will be happy to make a recommendation. The beer selection has something for everyone (from Stella Artois to Bud light). They even make their own (delicious) margarita mix. In fact, La Fogata has raised my expectations for eating out in general, not just Mexican food. I tell everyone about this place, but be warned: after you eat here you will not want to eat Mexican food anywhere else.
Pros: Awesome food, great service, great atmosphere for a date or dining with friends, lots of parking
Cons: Sometimes a short wait on Fri & Sat nights
