The first time we went to Lucile's we were leary of the moderate to high prices. We then found out the price is worth the amount and quality of the food. Eventually on the 4th visit we were told we could do half portions which worked out well. My husband and I start with the beignets were are a comforting treat, warm, thick, sugary fritters. I get Hanks Eggs, a skillet with eggs, potaotes, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onions and peppers and avocado. It has excellent flavor with just the right amount of zest. It comes with an enormous fluffy buttermilk biscuit. My husband's favorite is Farmer's Eggs, which he finds flavorful and spicy. It's busy on weekends after 10am but we are seated promptly if we go earlier.
Pros: Delicious food, ambience is nice but I'm too busy devouring my food to notice!
Cons: Sometimes there's a wait late weekend mornings
