Great breakfast, excellent pancakes!
by greenlove00
We had never been in Denver and found DJ's on citysearch. We plugged it into Garmin this morning and were on our way. The banana walnut pancakes were delicious. So were the biscuits and gravy. They are not skimpy with their portions and the coffee was very good. This was just what we needed and it was a very comfortable place, friendly staff. We'll definitely be back one day. Good value too.
- Pros: Great food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices
- Cons: None. You may have to wait a few minutes for a table.
I LOVE this place!

The staff is always friendly, everything I've ever ordered has been very tasty, the atmosphere is very comfortable. I come here frequently and I bring all my friends and family when I have the chance.
- Pros: Friendly staff, great food, nice atmosphere, free wifi
Best breakfast in town
by jlovestodine
Wow. The first time I came to DJs the lines were out the door. I found out why. Without hype, I must say, DJ's makes delicious breakfasts. I've tried the eggs, bacon and frenchtoast - to die for. Best french toast I've had. My husband loves the breakfast burrito, eggs benedict and biscuits with gravy. They also serve great coffee. We are so happy to have found a consistently declicious breakfast place in Denver with great ambience. Also love the interior, the booths, and friendly service.
- Pros: Delicious breakfast, great coffee, service friendly, ambience is great
- Cons: None
Best Secret Breakfast Joint!
by mrsmuld3r
Huge fan here! DJs is a charming, unpretentious, local joint. The atmosphere is casual with both indoor and outdoor seating. It is my favorite little secret spot for breakfast. The baristas make the best fat-free latte i've ever had with more foam than fat-free milk should legitimately make. But somehow they do it! The wait staff work in a friendly way that makes you feel welcome and comfortable.
I've had most of their omelet/scrambles and liked them all. Can't beat the good homemade biscuit, yum. Best blueberry pancakes ever. This week I had the belgian waffle and i am now hooked. Wow!
- Pros: homemade food, excellent coffee
- Cons: none
And the Award for best Biscuits and Gravy goes too.....
by denverlulu
I love this place, my life is brighter now that they have opened. I'm in at least once a week and I try something different off the menu every time. I have never been disappointed. Great food and great staff. If we can't figure out where to go and it's before 2PM we head over to Tennyson to our stand by, never let you down, affordable DJs Berkeley Cafe. If you haven't seen for yourself, get there! Oh and my boyfriend can't get enough of their Biscuits and Gravy.
- Pros: Coffee, Service, Food, everything
- Cons: They haven't yet expanded to every Denver neighborhood
Plain Facade Hides Marvelous Interior, Great Service, and Excellent Food
by emetter
I've been to DJ's for two relaxing and delicious breakfasts twice since 'discovering' it via an article in a neighborhood paper.
The seating is comfortable, the decor modern and attractive, and it still had a nice 'indie' feel to it. Strong coffee which is something that can be in short supply in places like DJ's that also serves a wide selection of good-tasting foods.
DJ's is now high on my list of NW Denver favorites (which includes: Mona's, Taza de Cafe, Simple Foods, and Cafe Cafe.
- Pros: Has a friendly independent edge, delicious food, and delicious strong coffee.
- Cons: Booth seats are too high for my short little legs but tables are also located in booth-like places and the chairs for those are fine.
Favorite local place

Yummy food, nice people, they don't care if you sit and search internet for hours. i'll definitly come back again and again. Cool decor, knowledgeable staff, and hashbrowns to die for. Support your local neighborhood.
- Pros: location and coffee
- Cons: none
Great neighborhood spot! (Well worth it even if you're not from the neighborhood)
by thkglbl
Not only is this Cafe/coffee shop a great place to hang out, given the incredible coffee, friendly staff, and wi-fi internet access, but the food is incredible. I've tried almost every offering on the menu, and I haven't had a bad dish yet. In fact, DJ's Cafe is one of the best places to get many standard favorites as well as truly unique twists on traditional favorites. The blueberry pancakes are incredible....best I've ever had. The french fries are made fresh right when you order them tossed with coarse salt and herbs (yum!)....no frozen rubbery fries here. The breakfast burrito is very nicely done with a delicious spicy sausage and homemade green chile with very lean pork, and just the right amount of spice to boost the flavor without burning your tongue. Don't forget mom's chicken-pot-pie and the very nicely done eggplant parmesan with fresh mozzarella and basil...both to-die-for. The crepes are delicious, and you can't go wrong whether your craving is for sweet or savory. Really, you can't go wrong no matter what you order. Why? Because it's all delicious! Plus, DJ's modern yet cozy ambiance is warm and inviting, which makes it a great neighborhood spot. So, needless to say, yeah, I think this place is great. I've been disappointed by so many other restaurants, but this one never fails to impress. Kudos to the brother duo that own and operate this fantastic restaurant.
- Pros: Ambiance, Wi-Fi, Fresh Food

D town locals cook it up !
by shr777
DJ's rocks the d- town up and down. I can get my vegetarian on or have a luncheon made for a lion. The only advise is to get a phone (number) that works so I can call in an order on the way to work.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: cell phone service
