I was excited to try this place out and, a couple weeks ago, took my grandma and husband there after an opera. It was dinner time, but they seated us in the bar. When I asked if they had a dining room, the hostess said, "Yes, but they told me not to seat anyone in there tonight" and walked off. It seemed that they had a bartender serving us, and he was nice enough, but he definitely gave us the level of attention you expect to get when you're having some drinks in a bar - but the thing was, we went there for dinner. They were out of the first couple of beers my husband ordered, but he did finally find one that they had. When the server walked away after taking our drink order, my husband leaned over and asked, in all seriousness, "Did they just open today?" It really did feel that way. Our appetizer was great - edemame ravioli with a truffle sauce. I highly recommend that. My meal was quite good - lamb chops with a garbanzo puree. My husband had a good bison steak, but the potatoes au gratin it came with were crunchy raw. He told the server, who kindly brought him a more cooked, but still pretty raw, side of potatoes. When he didn't eat them, the server asked if they were better. When we told him that they were still pretty raw, he said, "The chef does it that way on purpose; it's a French style." Perhaps that is true, but I have eaten at a lot of French restaurants and never have gotten potatoes that are partly raw. My grandma was not a huge fan of the scallop dish she ordered. Overall, the food was above average, but, for the prices, I expect well above average and a much better experience, in general, than we had.

Pros: edamame ravioli

Cons: inconsistency
