I first went to HR Block but I thought their fees were too high. My parents went to Franklin and told me they really liked them so I went to see the people at Franklin about my taxes. Block told me I owed over $500 and their fees would be $300 to do my taxes. I thought this was outrageous. Franklin told me I owed $125 and Their fee was $199. HR Block spent about 15 mintues with me. Franklin spent about 1 hour asking me questions that resulted in quite a few more deductions and they explained these to me in detail. I'm much more comfortable with my tax situation. I really liked the people at Franklin Tax Service and thought they did a great job. I would definitely recommend them!
Pros: Lower price on fees and their expertise led to larger refund
Cons: I can't think of any - it was as great an experience as having your taxes done can be

I used Franklin this year and they were great. I worked with a guy named Jack or Jerry and he was really helpful and a nice guy. I was recommended to use them by a friend and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them also. PS-Ask for a $20 off coupon. They will give you one if you ask!
Pros: Fast service and better refund than last year

I was a little skeptical about this place. They said that this is their first tax year that they have done tax returns for the public. I was really tired of the big mill tax joints where they whip you in, take your money, and whip you out. I thougt I'd give these guys a try. They asked me a lot of questions and seemed truely interested in getting me a good refund. They found some stuff that my previous preparers had overlooked and my refund went up quite a bit. I thought they were very professional and I really enjoyed working with a woman there named Maricruz. She works as an accountant in her day job and seemed like she really know her stuff. I got a bigger refund and they charged less. Is that a win/win? I'd definitely use these guys over the bigger tax places.
Pros: Great tax advice at the right price-no waiting
Cons: A little bit of a drive for me but worth it
